Found this on the web:

There is a Kickstarter project in the UK started by Scott Beadle and his team. Here's the summary of their graphic novel:

Ancient astronauts or ancient aliens, also known as paleocontact hypothesis, are purported intelligent extra terrestrial beings said to have visited earth in antiquity or prehistory and made contact with humans. Proponents suggest that this contact influenced the development of human cultures, technologies, and religions.

Now, take a good look at the graphic novel images.

Hey Vicers! I haven't been active recently but I do have a lot of content to cover (as you will see in these videos). I've got some material ready to be recorded so I'll get to it soon. But I didn't want to take up a bunch of blogs so I'm putting all my recent purchase videos in this blog. Some of it is from RightStuf and some is from Amazon. Enjoy!

Kadokawa Promotes Lollipop Chainsaw with Highschool of the Dead

Imagine my surprise as I was browsing for pictures of Saeko Busujima that I stumbled on this illustration by Shouji Sato, artist on HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD, of the star of LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW, Juliet Starling, along with Saeko and Rei Miyamoto, two of the stars from H.O.T.D..

I was originally pretty confused about this cross promotion. Other than they are both about chopping zombies up. I didn't see any other connection. I know Dragon Age magazine, where H.O.T.D. is originally serialized, loves to put Saeko and Rei on the covers despite the series being on hiatus. It wasn't until I paid more attention to the LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW trailer that it all fell into place. H.O.T.D. is published by Kadokawa. LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW is being published by Kadokawa Games.

Oh yeah, if you didn't know, That's the living-disembodied head of Juliet Starling boyfriend, Nick, tied to her belt. It all makes more sense once you realize this is another Suda 51 project. You can check out a trailer for the game here:

[UPDATE]

A big thanks to user DrifterInGreen for jogging my memory that I saw pictures a while ago for alternate costume options for Juliet that include both Saeko and Rei. A little further digging led me to even more anime based costumes for Juliet. The list I could find includes Haruna from IS THIS A ZOMBIE?, Shiro from DEADMAN WONDERLAND, and Chisusa Manyu from MANYU HIKEN-CHO. What bothers me though is that I've yet to be able to confirm if these costumes will be available outside of the Japanese version.

HIGHSCHOOL OF THE DEAD is currently being published in the U.S. by Yen Press and the first six volumes are currently available to buy. LOLLIPOP CHAINSAW will be coming to the XBox 360 and PS3 this June.

Fully titled: Tits N' Ass, but I don't want to be weeded out as mature content on Youtube.

This episode I'm answering Sotyfan16's question on fanservice and my opinions. I had to do this in a rush, so it's not the best, but HAY you guys'll get two this week so yay!! Hope you enjoy, and send your Q&A in any format (AV, youtube, Twitter, Tumblr) and I'll answer them in the upcoming two episodes.

Sorry! I forgot to ask this in the video so.... What's your opinion on fanservice?

 More! More! More!
 More! More! More!
Am I a spendthrift? Probably. But I can't help taking advantage of Borders now having manga at 40% off. If I could spend the money I'd buy a lot more but I really shouldn't even be doing this. lol Anyway, I just got back from the store and I have 8 more volumes added to my collection.

This brings my total manga to 64 volumes. That's a lot for just starting this year. For publishers, I have 1 Del Rey, 1 Tokyopop, 2 Yen Press, 2 Viz Media, and 2 Vertical. The 2 by Vertical are the same title and complete the 3 Vol. series. I'll get on with telling y'all what the titles are.

In the front are Vol. 2 of Dorohedoro, Vol. 2-3 of Peepo Choo (complete), and Vol. 3 of Highschool of the Dead. In the back row is Vol. 4 of Fairy Tail, Vol. 1 of Zone-00, Vol. 3 of Claymore, and Vol. 2 of Jack Frost. I had never heard of or seen Zone-00 before but from flipping through it I thought I'd give it a shot. I could have gotten through Vol. 9 of Claymore but couldn't convince myself to do it. The same goes for Jack Frost as I could have gotten through Vol. 5. Could have even purchased through Vol. 12 of Fairy Tail.

But that's what I have so let me know what you think Vicers!

Hi Anime Vice! It's been a while since I've covered manga, well, regular manga anyway. So I'm back with another batch from my collection. In today's discussion I provide my thoughts on AiON Vol. 1-2 by Yuna Kagesaki ( Tokyopop), Highschool of the Dead Vol. 1-2 by Daisuke and Shouji Sato ( Yen Press), and Black Lagoon Vol. 2 by Rei Hiroe ( Viz Media). Enjoy and let me know what you think!

Please feel free to provide suggestions for an anime or manga for me to talk about and I will do my best to oblige. Also, if you are curious about anything discussed in this-or previous-episode(s) don't hesitate to ask me for more information/opinions.
