Participants in the Queen's Blade tournament begin to encounter each other along the road. Some early conflicts arise among the warriors.
Queen's Blade begins with Leina, a scantily-clad female warrior (which also describes almost every character in this story) encountering a demon named Melona. It should be noted before anything else is revealed that this show includes a lot of nudity, and the demon's main attack is to shoot an acidic liquid from her breasts. The show's namesake is explained: Queen's Blade is a fighting tournament for the right to become queen. Before Leina is defeated, she is saved by Risty, another female warrior who had been watching the battle. Risty takes Leina to a nearby town, where she plans to get a reward for returning her to her household, as Leina is nobility. We meet her sisters, Elina and Claudette, who are also scantily-clad female warriors.
After a dispute over the reward, Risty and Claudette fight, with Claudette ending the fight almost instantly. Risty is then taken into custody. Shortly after, Risty escapes, and tries to provide Leina with an escape as well. There is a rematch between Risty and Claudette, as well as a rematch between Leina and the demon. Risty and Claudette end in a draw due to Leina's victory over the demon by causing her breasts to explode. The episode ends with Risty and Leina setting out on a journey together.
