Hendricksen is one of the Holy Knight in Kingdom of Lyonesse.
One decade before the main events in the story, Hendricksen along with Dreyfus plotted the assassination of the then lone Holy Knight Zaratras, who was actually Dreyfus' brother. Upon the successful assassination, Hendricksen and Dreyfus were appointed as Dual Great Holy Knights, the highest Knight rank and the murder was blamed on the most famous and powerful Knights, the 7 Deadly Sins. Hendricksen later found the body of a Demon which was previously thought to be a myth. It was in the ruin's of the Fairy King's Forest and quite likely, the Demon that Deadly Sin Ban killed in the past. Hendricksen quickly discovered that in drinking demon blood, one would immediately become much stronger. In recent times, Hendricksen used the demon blood in secret to make his weak or novice Holy Knights, much more powerful overnight, something he kept hidden from fellow Great Holy Knight Dreyfus so that hi faction of Holy Knights would become the dominant of the two. At some point, he also met with Helbram the Fairy and the latter joined under him as his right hand man.
Not much has changed with Hendricksen's character. He has been plotting the same scheme for about a decade and continues to strive for that goal.
Hendricksen is a middle aged man of apparent tall height, standing slightly taller than Gilsander and much taller than Meliodas. He has short cut white hair and a goatee. His skin is fair and unblemished, marked with cold looking eyes. His attire consists of armor that is mostly covered by ornate robes.
Hendricksen is a ruthless man. Not only has he engaged in murder of his own allies, but deliberately stakes his own subordinates life with demon blood consumption for the chance that they will become stronger. Many are not compatible and die a sudden gruesome death. He also has little to no regard of the well-being of the world as he wishes to revive the demon clan which would be a catastrophic event for mankind, merely for the sake of defeating them to appear as the hero of the world.
Hendricksen is first shown with his fellow Great Holy Knight Dreyfus giving a speech to the Holy Knights to boost their spirits and feed them propaganda. When he was done, he spoke to Dreyfus about the the predicted Holy War and that the Seven Deadly Sins could be a centerpiece in that prediction.
Some time later, Hendricksen summoned his subordinates Jericho and Twigo to a secret cave. He stated that despite their recent failures, he would give them another chance and give them new power. He then had his two favored subordinates Helbram and Guila lead the two further into the cave where they were met by the corpse of a demon which were not believed to be real beings by the mass population. He handed Jericho and Twigo each a goblet filled with demon blood. He told them that in drinking the demon blood, they would at once receive new power. He stated that Guila had gone through the process already which explained her sudden boost over the other two. The two hesitantly drink the blood. Only afterwards did Hendricksen state that one of the two were compatible. Moments later, Twigo began to convulse then suddenly burst apart. But Jericho was compatible.
Later on, Hendricksen had met with Princess Veronica and convinced her that Meliodas was manipulating Elizabeth into being loyal to him. He gave Veronica a Goddess Amber amulet and told her to use it on Meliodas when the time was necessary.
Later, during a battle between Hendricksen's Holy Knights and the Seven Deadly Sins, it was finally down to Meliodas vs Hendricksen''s right hand man Helbram. The latter communicated magically with Hendricksen and told him that he was starting to be overpowered by a berserk Meliodas. At that, Hendricksen channeled some of his power to Helbram and immediately the latter began dominating the battle and he managed to incapacitate Meliodas almost immediately. Just as the battle appeared to have been won, Meliodas' last active ally Diane arrived and seeing Meliodas defeated, leveled the entire battlefield. Helbram tried to escape the attack and though he was not hit by the brunt of the blow, the massive amount of upchucked rubble partially landed on him, crushing him and breaking his link with Hendricksen. Although Helbram was not killed and managed to narrowly escape, taking the incapacitated bodies of Guila and Jericho with him.
Helbram returned from Byzel scathed but alive. He failed to capture Elizabeth but succeeded in retrieving Meliodas' sword. Hendricksen revealed that Meliodas' sword was special and that it would be needed to open the gate to the Demon Realm. He revealed that his plan was to throw the world back into it's former days of war against supernatural beings since the world was now dull and the Holy Knight of the current age had no glory to speak of. Hendricksen wasted no time and began the ritual to open the gate to the Demon Realm. While he was successful in opening a small gate, it was not of sufficient enough size for the large demon bodies to enter. Helbram said that they did not have all the things necessary to open the gate yet, but Dreyfus said that one necessary element alone was not in their possession, and that they would need to use that secret "thing".
Hendricksen acknowledged the Seven Deadly Sins as true threats but also stated that compared to the the 4 races of old times (Goddess, Fairy, Giant and Human), they were of little significance.
Hendricksen wields an unnamed short sword which is curved towards the top.
Hendricksen creates black flames at will, usually surrounding his sword. It can be projected or used with the blade itself.
Hendricksen creates a large amount of the black flames and blasts it towards the intended target.
