Helbram is one of the Holy Knight in Kingdom of Lyonesse.
Helbram lived the the Forest of the Fairy King as a Fairy himself some 700 years ago. He had a keen interest in humans and this grew when he found that the leader of the Forest, King had learned the art of making his own clothes from humans. Helbram asked King about Humans but King told him to never trust a human ever. Not knowing or understanding why, Helbram slipped out of the Forest with some of his friends. Surely enough, they were quick to find humans who noticed them. They offered Helbram and the other fairies human goods and trinkets if they would come closer. Being completely naive, Helbram and the rest did so. All at once, the humans caught them and began to rip off their wings.
A moment later King arrived to save them and when the humans were distracted by a wing-less Fairy who was flying nonetheless, one of the humans attacked King from behind and gravely wounded him. In return, Helbram killed all the humans present. Thinking King was dead (the former not being dead and actually thinking the same about Helbram once he recovered) Helbram took on a human form and went out into the world with the sole purpose of killing humans. The even and broken Helbram's innocent heart and he was now mad with vengeance. For half a millennium, Helbram upheld this role, killing human after human after human because as a Fairy, his sense of time was completely different from a human's. It took 500 years before Helbram and King were to meet again by chance. While both were incredibly surprised, Helbram would not stop his ways now, nor would King allow him to continue. They fought and King won, lodging a rose in Helbram's heart. But this would not be the end of Helbram. His fairy Corpse was sold on the black market over and over again for an additional 150 years until Great Holy Knight Hendricksen discovered him and brought the corpse. Using a forbidden dark technique of the Druids, Hendricksen resurrected Helbram from the dead via the "Enslavement of the Dead" spell. Helbram was now back. He had to serve Hendricksen but not only was Hendricksen strong enough to respect, but Helbram was made into a high ranking Holy Knight, allowing him much freedom to do as he liked, which as killing humans to begin with.
In human form, Helbram appears as a middle aged man of fair height with light skin, a full head of hair, a full beard and mustache and fully clad in Holy Knight armor. Topping it off, an eye patch.
As a Fairy, Helbram is both shorter and much leaner and he loses all his facial hair. The rest of his hair changes into a darker color and he sprouts fairy wings out of his back. His attire is altered as well, being less combat oriented. He no longer wears armor aside from is helmet.
Helbram is a calm and sometime sarcastic warrior, most often remaining calm in tough situations and sometimes finding humor in battle. In his Fairy Form, Helbram displayed more emotion, but that could have been because of the conditions surrounding the event as he was fighting his old friend and was on the losing end as well.
Hendricksen - Helbam's direct superior.
Guila - Helbram's right hand.
King - Helbram's friend since antiquity, turned enemy. The two have a deep relationship not apparent or even fully known to King until much later.
Helbram arrived to the Capital of the Dead shortly after the Seven Deadly Sins had departed from it. He found his apprentice Guila bound and defeated. He told Guila that she was not yet ready to fight any of the Deadly Sins yet, then commented on the art that was adorning her forehead, left by Meliodas as a prank.
Helbram led Holy Knights Jericho and Twigo blindfolded into a secret cave. Great Holy Knight Hendricksen was waiting for them there, along with Helbram's assistant, Guila. Given the two Holy Knights' recent failures against the Seven Deadly Sins, Hendricksen offered them a chance to redeem themselves. He handed each a gauntlet. He explained that the contents of each cup contained the blood of a Demon. The two were shocked but were given little time to consider. Both drank the contents. Twigo died moments after consuming the blood as he was not compatible, but Jericho painfully succeeded in adapting to the Demon blood and was bestowed new power. A short time later, Helbram instructed Guila, Marmas and the newly strong Jericho to ravel with him to Byzel. Their goal was to assassinate the 4 Deadly Sins that were there. He disguised himself as "Love Helm" and would act as the referee in the Byzel Fight Festival, which he knew the Deadly Sins would participate in.
Indeed Helbram acted as the referee and as predicted, the Deadly Sins participated, dominating the tournament with the last 2 fighters being Meliodas and Diane of the Deadly Sins. The two allies began to spar, but part way into the fight, Meliodas stopped and revealed his identity to all present and declared that the Seven Deadly Sins would be taking over Byzel. Helbram was surprised but decided to follow the events under his disguise and retreated with the rest of the town, Deadly Sin King ironically helping him personally. He temporarily left the fighting to his 3 subordinates, Marmas, Guila and Jericho. Marmas attacked Diane and King wound up fighting both Guila and Jericho at the same time. Even the combined duo of Holy Knights were no match for the Deadly Sin's might and he casually defeated them both. When King was about to finish the two off, Helbram finally stepped in and dashed to his two subordinates rescue, moving them out of harm's way. King attacked Helbram who threw off his disguise and was startled when the latter caught his Sacred Treasure Chastiefol with his hand.
The two engaged in battle, Helbram having the upper hand as he was familiar with King while the latter was completely ignorant as to who Helbram was. Helbram teased him continually, making it quite clear that he knew King personally, even calling him by his real name "Harlequin" which should not have been known to any human. Helbram wounded King severely but the latter at least managed to knock Helbram's helmet off his shoulders, earning Helbram's praise. But before the battle could continue, Helbram sensed a heavy power approaching quickly. Indeed, Meliodas crashed onto the scene knocking King back. He immediately engaged Helbram in combat. It was a brutal fight indeed. Helbram was using his Link ability and borrowed the power of an astounding 0 Holy Knight at once. In turn, Meliodas entered a Berserk state using the "Black Mark" and matched Helbram. The pummeled each other, wrecking the landscape but eventually Helbram was concerned.. He was astonished that Meliodas could fight the power of 21 Holy Knights combined and was on the offensive. Via a remote Link, Helbram requested more power still so that he could defeat the dreaded Leader of the Seven Deadly Sins. Great Holy Knight Hendricksen agreed and added a portion ofhis own power to the well of power, giving Helbram an immense boost and in a fell swoop, he pummeled Meliodas into a nearby cliff, defeating him.
He prepared to take Meliodas and Princess Elizabeth with him back to Hendricksen, but the timing was just to late as Deadly Sin Diane arrived. Sensing this, Great Holy night Hendricksen ordered Helbram to retreat immediately even if he could not retrieve the targets. For just a moment Helbram hesitating, asking why, but then he discovered why. The enraged Diane, seeing her beloved Meliodas beaten brought down her War Hammer Gideon with all her might. The sheer force was so great that the whole landscape was in upheaval as though a meteor had struck the ground. Giant debris flew everywhere including a chunk so large that it was the size of a mountain. Leaping away as quickly as he could, Helbram for the second time grabbed the helpless Guila and Jericho and fled for their lives, barely making it back to his flying Manta Ray and escaping.
After capturing Princess Elizabeth and kidnapping her back to Liones, Helbram and Great Holy Knight Dreyfus felt the presence of a powerful entity appearing suddenly beneath the city. Along with Holy Knights Gilsander, and Jericho, Helbram and Dreyfus head below ground to investigate. When they arrive to the spot, they found none other that Giant of the Deadly Sins Diane stuck in a basement underground. Jericho asked the privilege of taking the life of the Deadly Sin. She was given permission but was nearly killed when she got close to Diane who destroyed the entire area when she slammed Gideon down on the ground.
Diane freed herself and took on the group of powerful Holy Knights. She held her own for a bit but when Dreyfus became serious, he blasted a hole through Diane's torso. She did not fall but he blasted her again, sending her flying a great distance into the city of Liones. She was saved by the arrival of Meliodas, Ban and Gowther, which split up the forces. However, Helbram was persistent with Diane and followed her, cornering her, then dealing another terrible blow with his Killer Iceberg technique.
Like Deadly Sin King, Helbram can change is appearance at will.
Helbram is capable of suspended flight without wings or via the utilization of wings in Fairy Form.
A seemingly unique ability that allows Hebram to use the powers of others remotely. There is no known limit to the power that Helbram can borrow but he used the power of 20 Holy Knights on top of his own simultaneously and even a portion of Great Holy Knight Hendricksen's power in unison. The only condition would seem to be that the borrowed power must be granted willingly.
Helbram suffered no damage from Hauser's Wind Spell when this enchantment was in effect.
Helbram shrugged off an exploding-type attack from Guila when using this spell.
This spell makes Helbram's hardness increase to the point that magical blades such as Chastiefol were unable to cut him.
Helbram creates a Huge Ice Projectile and launches it towards the target. It impaled Deadly Sin Diane right through.
In his Fairy Form, Helbram is as powerful as a Great Holy Knight, making his value to Hendricksen very clear. It's unclear if Helbram is restricted from using these specific techniques in his human form but he performed the following in Fairy Form.
Helbram has shown the ability to summon parts of the Sacred tree of the Fairy Forest. He can use it offensively and manipulate the roots.
Helbram casts his gaze at the victim and suddenly they lose their free will and blindly follow his wishes. It is not clear but this ability would not likely be effective on one stronger than Helbram himself. He only used it on low level and ordinary Holy Knights. But it can work on many victims simultaneously.
