History

Gokudera and his mother in happier times

Gokudera was raised by a father who was in the mafia, however his mother was not the man he was married to, instead his mother was a woman who his father had an affair with. But in the mafia world children born from affairs and out of wedlock are viewed as a taboo, so everyone was told that his father's wife was actually his real mother, even if he knew better. His real mother came to visit him three times a year until he was three, when she died after her car slid off the side of a cliff. It was believed this might have been suicide, but years later Gokudera would learn from his half sister Bianchi that she was actually very ill and it was this illness that caused her to lose control of the car that night. She also told Gokudera that their father loved his mother very much and even wanted to marry her but she refused to, saying her illness would just make her a burden to him.

Gokudera did not believe his sister because growing up the two of them had a less than stellar relationship. He grew up being a very talented pianist, but his sister always wanted to be an assassin for the mafia so she trained in the art of poison cooking, using Gokudera as her test subject. Because of this he quit playing the piano and to this day whenever he sees his sister's face he gets violently ill. He decided to focus all his time on joining the mafia, and since his family was member of the Vongola family he was going to make it his goal to become the right hand man of the tenth Vongola boss. He sought out Dr. Shamal, a friend of the family and talented assassin, to make him a skilled assassin as well. He tried to learn the same skills as him, using Trident Mosquitoes as weapons, but he realized that Gokudera was suited more for another tool, explosives. He taught Gokudera how to use dynamite as a throwing weapon and it stuck with him.

When Gokudera first arrived in Japan he found Tsuna and didn't think he was suited to be the tenth boss at first and tested him. However when Tsuna saved his life from his own dynamite, Gokudera became one hundred percent devoted to him and remains so to this day, getting into fights over who should be his right hand man, especially with Yamamoto who he sees as his chief rival.

Members of Gokudera's school found themselves being attacked by members of Kokuyo Junior High and Gokudera was no exception. He was attacked by Chikusa and his needle spraying yo-yos. He survived the encounter and joined Tsuna and Yamamoto as they headed out to face the bosses of the Kokuyo gang. Gokudera faced off against Chikusa again and this time he came out victorious, however he was so injured he had to sit out the rest of the fights. He eventually recovered enough to join Hibari who was facing off against Mukuro and gave him some medicine to help him overcome the illusions Mukuro was throwing at him. However Mukuro scratched Mukuro with his trident and used his power of possession to infect him and take control of his body. Tsuna was able to save him by knocking him unconscious until he was able to defeat Mukuro and free them of his control.

Gokudera's dynamite

Dynamite-

Gokudera was trained to use Dynamite in battle, he keeps it strapped all over his body and at one point used to smoke a cigarette just so that he could have something to lite them with. He eventually modified his dynomite so that he could add little jets onto them so they could fly after his opponents.

Gokudera's Storm FLame

Storm Flame-

Like each member of the Vongola Family, Gokudera can create flames from his ring that he uses to power his attacks. His are the storm type flames which represent wild winds and gust.

Sistema CAI

Sistema C.A.I.-

This is Gokudera's personal box weapon, it allows him to use five different kinds of flames to create shields and weapons that can release blast attacks.

Uri-

Uri is the cat that lives inside Gokudera's box weapon, it is a living piece of energy that is linked to him. The two of them constantly get into fights, with Uri scratching him all over. Uri has the power to combine with his other weapons to make them stronger and also turn into a giant Leopard.

When Uri combines with Gokudera's Vongola Box Weapon, it transforms into the original Storm Guardian's weapon of choice, a giant bow and arrow that fire out a massive energy attack.

When Uri's ring and Gokudera's Vongola ring were merged together they created a new buckle that allowed Gokudera to summon out Uri and then have him merge with his own body, creating a new set of armor complete with a wide range of dynamite. He can fire off the dynamite and have it fly after his opponent, but he can also summon out Uri as a living bomb that will explode next to his opponent.
