Hayate X Blade

Overview

Hayate Kurogane's twin sister Nagi is lying in a hospital bed at the start of the story, so Hayate decides to attend the school in her place. Soon after arriving she finds that the school is host to a tournament called the "Hoshitori," where anyone who wishes to participate can duel other students for their stars, leading to money and prestige within the school proper. Hayate is not too concerned about the swordfighting at first, but when she sees her old orphanage vandalized by Yakuza, she decides to enter the "Hoshitori" in order to raise the money to pay off the Yakuza threatening her old home.
