This second season continues the story of 16-year old Ayasaki Hayate, whose parents have made a huge debt and left Hayate to pay for it; and Sanzenin Nagi, a rich 13-year old girl who is lazy, reads manga and plays games all day.

Returning casts include: Kugimiya Rie, Tanaka Rie, Shiraishi Ryoko, Ito Shizuka, Ueda Kana and legendary Wakamoto Norio as the Narrator.  With other characters given more screen time, such as: Kasumi Aika - one of the Student Council members (voiced by Katou Emiri); and new characters introduced, such as: Shaflnarz Sonia - a nun (voiced by Horie Yui).

The first opening theme, I didn't enjoy so much but the second was pretty good.  However, I feel the opposite regarding the ending themes - the first was great but the second, not so much.  With Ito Shizuka singing "Zankoku na Tenshi no Thesis" (the opening theme to Neon Genesis Evangelion) in the anime was pretty amazing!

Unlike the first season, this 25-episode season strictly continues the story, leaving very few episodes for parodies of other anime and games.  This anime is quite enjoyable and offers a lot of laughs.
