Hatori Sohma

Hatori is the family doctor of the Sohma family and the dragon of the family curse. Instead of a dragon though, Hatori turns into a seahorse which greatly embarrasses the man. Appearing cold and distant at first glance, Hatori is a kind man who cares for the well-being of others. He is responsible for erasing the memories of outsiders who learn about the curse. He used this ability to erase the memories of Momiji's mother, the group of kids Yuki interacted with, and his former lover Kana. The loss of Kana's memories bare the greatest loss for Hatori as Akito rejected his marriage to the girl and injured one of his eyes while in a blind rage from hearing the news. As a result of the injury, Hatori lost most of the vision in the damaged eye, and Akito blamed Kana for the injury he gave him and told her it was her fault it happened. Kana really did feel bad and blamed her self for a long time. Hatori would try to speak to her and she would just cry, she was very depressed. Hatori could not bare to see her like that and he erased her memories for her own good, even though it would make his heart ache.
