This is season 2 and the sequel of Haganai (I Don't Have Many Friends).
Due to his blonde and scary look, Kodaka Hasegawa has been considered as delinquent by many, even though he is not. As result, Kodaka was never able to make friends in his high school. One day, he sees his classmate Yozora Mikazuki talking with somebody cheerfully, even though she is known as unsociable person who doesn't have any friend. It turns out she was talking to her imaginary friends, or "air friend" as she claims. Even though Kodaka ridicules Yozora's imaginary friend, she criticize back at him for not having friends either. After lengthy discussion on how to make friends, Yozora comes with solution, create a after school club with sole purpose of making friends which was named the Neighbors' Club. Thus mischievous club activities begin.
