There's something strange occuring near Okinawa, as the fishermen have sighted bizarre creatures coming from the sea.
Overview
GYO is a direct to video anime adaptation by Ufotable Studios, with Takayuki Hirao as director, retelling the events of the Death Stench Plague. The story is based on the famed horror-mangaka Junji Ito tale "GYO - the Death Stench creeps", where fish emerge from the sea with mechanical sharp legs and spread the chaos over Japan.
Unlike the manga, Kaori is the main character in the anime. She comes across the death stench while on vacations with her two friends Aki and Erika in Okinawa.
Terracota DVD distribution will release GYO on dvd as "Tokyo Shark Attack" as part of the horror catalogue of the Terror-Cotta collection on August 20th.
