Please tell me I'm not the only one who finds it a little hard to believe their civilization advanced that far in only 7 years. That's insane. Did Lord Genome have like a "How To Make Advanced Cities for Dummies" book in his throne room or something?

@Kelleth: all of your question is answered by one answer "SPIRAL POWER" apparently everyone is convinced that "THEIR DRILL SHALL PIERCE THE HEAVEN" and you got teh rate

@Dethfish77: Well, I'm willing to see some degree of the civilization's development. I mean, they freely gave of the Spiral King's technology, and have seemingly limitless food. Any species suddenly free of natural predators is going to blossom wildly. Aside from the fact that each woman had like, 100+ babies in 7 years, I don't find it too unbelievable, for this series...

@Kelleth:
The second movie actually changes the trigger for the anti spirals.
Works much better than a population made up entirely of people under 7.

@Kelleth: I think the idea is that people who are fearful for their very survival have little room for hope, and can only truly live hand to mouth.

Since Spiral Power is the largest proponent of change for their societies, a people without hope and drive can only go so far. Genome had to inflict such terror to keep them in check and manageable, instead of just being an arbitrary counter of sorts. At least that's my take on it.

@John_Martone: Hm, I never even thought about how many children must of been born. I wonder what the Earth's population was before they beat Genome.

No big deal though, the rapid evolution of civilization is hardly the most unrealistic thing in this show. The ginormous fighting robots come to mind.
