I thought this wasn't coming out until July. I found out that I was lied to when I found this and bought in San Fransisco on Thursday. I love this volume, and can't wait for it to be translated. Here's what I know:

-Chapters 22-28 are covered. That's seven chapters
-Simon's rebirth and bye bye Generals Adiane and Cytomander
-A new (or scraped, depending on how you view it) character. She, I believe, is Nia's older sister named Straya (if my source is right)
-Yoko steals the show for me when she combines Lagann with Dyakaisser (I think that's the name)
-Lmao, Guame lives.
-Nia cuts her own hair at a grave site and Yoko fixes it. Ahhh.
-Kiyal wants her own gunmen (she'll get one, I'm sure)
-Kittan's flashback with Kiyal is pretty funny

That's pretty sweet looking.

I only read the first volume, and wasn't incredibly impressed. Like the art was fun and all, but it felt like such a 2 dimensional retread of the anime. Knowing they make changes inspires a bit more interest, but did it start to take its own shape?

It just felt like a bunch of the punch was missing imo.

@John_Martone: I'm not sure how to answer your question. Maybe the changes mean that the supporting cast will have a bigger role in the final battle or something (I'm just throwing that out there).

Curious, because, if you've seen the movies, the 2nd made several sweeping changes (in relation to the supporting cast) that effected the final battle greatly.
