The loudmouthed and reckless Executioner, who is often an antagonizing force in Togainu No Chi
Overview
Gunji is an Executioner, along with his friend Kiriwar. Together they enforce the rules of Igura, under the direction of Arbitro. Gunji stands at 195 cm with long blond hair that covers his eyes. He wears an open red hoodie that exposes his tattooed chest. Gunji is loud and obnoxious, and not the smartest. He fights with long claws that attach to his hands similar to a pair of gloves. Gunji is cruel and merciless, and sadistic in the ways he kills and carries out orders, but Gunji still possess a child like attitude. Gunji often confuses up cats and dogs, for example he calls Kau, Arbitro's human 'dog', as 'Tama' which is a pet name for a cat. Gunji enjoys cats, in the manga when he finds a cat he names it Poshi (which is coincidentally a common name for a dog). He also commonly gives nicknames to nearly everyone he meets. Gunji calls Kiriwar 'Jijii' (Old Man), Arbitro 'Papa', and Shiki 'Shikitty'.
Anime Vs PC Game
In the anime, Kiriwar and Gunji's parts as villains or antagonizing forces are played down to the extent of them becoming more neutral side characters than actual conflicting forces against Akira. This is vastly different in the game, as Kiriwar and Gunji become much more serious threats to Akira, Rin, and Keisuke. Gunji and Kiriwar are often portrayed as a tenfold more sadistic in the video game to the extent of them being rapists. Most of the video game endings including Kiriwar and Gunji ultimately end in rape or murder.
