Sweet article!

I'm actually interested to see how this game will turn out, and how it ties in with the original plot. I hope they have a US release of the game....I would play it.

I like how the characters look, Scrooge looks like an interesting character, and Carol does have that "Inori" vibe to her. Its cool how the characters all have names that have to do with A Christmas Carol.

This is being written by someone from Nitro+ right? so it's going to have good writing?

As for if this is coming to the US, maybe. Nitro+ does have a US division but they haven't updated their site in over a year and still haven't released the two vn's they said they would. There might be a chance there would be a fan translation of it would take at least 4+ years seeing how long it usually takes a fan sub group to translate a vn

@Wraith:

I'm not familiar with NitroPlus's works. I'm hoping this visual novel's story is better than its anime counterparts. I haven't play a visual novel before.

@takashichea: you might be familiar with the anime adaptations of some of their works: Phantom: Requiem for the Phantom, Chaos;Head, and Steins;Gate. I'm not to sure about how well those animes are adapted from their vn's. If you want to try some vn's here are some links to some freeware vns:

@Wraith:

Thanks Wraith. I heard of Steins;gate with its Dr. Pepper thing but not the other two. I believed I heard of Katawa Shoujo from a Giant Bomb person, Video Game King I think (or was it someone else). I remember someone posting a blog about that visual novel recently in this community. Ah, I remember it was not him but MattyFTM's blog.

The famous visual novel I often hear about is Fate Stay Night because I'm a fan of the anime and its prequel, Fate Zero.

@takashichea: funny that you mention Fate/Stay night, fans of the vn hate the anime because they say it's a poor adaptation of the vn. Haven't read it yet so I can't say much

Speaking of Fate/Zero, the author of the Fate/Zero novels Gen Urobuchi is a scenario writer attached to Nitro+

@Wraith:

Well, the anime can be slow at the beginning. Emiya Shirou is portrayed as wimpy character like Shu Ouma while you have a tough cool character like Archer. Both suffer a similar fate like Gai and Shu in Guilty Crown. Fans tend to like Archer more that Shirou. The visual novel has some eroge scenes, and those scenes were poorly edited in the anime since they can't show sex. They even censored one of the kissing scenes.

Cool, I didn't know Gen Urobuchi does that.
