is the home of Batman and his rouges, but this was not Batman’s first home. Batman first appeared in . It was creator Bill Finger who originally created the home of Batman and its name was to be very different and many different names where thrown around before the rested on . Gotham’s history is one of pain and hardship, Originally founded by mercenary from it was not soon before it changed hands into the British empires  and was the site of many major battles during the revolution. Gotham’s history is much in touch with the history of , But it differs with its dark undertow of from a great daemon being buried under the city who attracts the mad, to the events in cataclysm that seen an ever quake that destroyed and the American government declaring it a no man’s land. but one thing has always stayed the same in Gotham is the police corruption almost every police man in the force had their hand in someone pocket, it was not until commissioner Gordon was placed in charge that things began to change and with the help of the Batman much of the corruption has gone, Another fundamental thing in Gotham is crime families, if it was not for them, their would not be a Batman at all and after the families comes the criminals who range from the deranged to the clever or both. The most notable home for the likes of these is Arkham Asylum and Blackgate Prison. During the rebuild never really changed keeping its dark architecture. It kept its Gothic Art Deco feel mixed along with massive modern sky scrapers and will now always remain the home of the Batman.
