Gonzo in Further Trouble, Will Lay Off 70%

Bandai Visual's restructuring may sound pretty benign, but troubled anime studio Gonzo has no such niceties these days: word is that the company is going to drop in size from 130 employees on the creative side of things to only 30-- it seems likely that they'll have to either partner up with someone or drop some of their upcoming projects, too.


That said, even with the massive drop they're only hoping to return to making a profit in five years. Yowch.

Sad news... even though Gonzo has never been one of my favorite studios, I wouldn't have wished this on them.
