Plot Summary

Viz Edition Release Date: 2003

Proper Japanese Title: Tenkawakeme no Chōkessen!! (天下分け目の超決戦)

With the mighty Kaiô-ken amplifying his strength, Goku fights Vegeta in a desperate battle to save the world--only to find that the elite Saiyan warrior is even stronger than his new techniques! In desperation, Goku calls upon the Genki-dama, the "spirit ball," drawing power from the Earth, its people, plants, and animals. But alone, even Goku is not enough. The last worn-out survivors, Gohan, Kuririn, and Yajirobe, must rush back into the fray to beat the unbeatable Vegeta...as their enraged foe vows to not only wipe out the human race, but destroy the planet Earth itself!

The decisive battle with the fate of the Earth at stake began. Accepting that it would wreck his body, Goku raises his Kaio-ken to x3 and attacks Vegeta. After beginning to steadily take damage, Vegeta transforms into an Oozaru and attacks Goku. Goku counters this with a Genki-dama. The Genki-dama was temporarily smashed, but Gohan bounced it back to get a direct hit on Vegeta! Nevertheless, the undefeated Vegeta ends up being greatly damaged by Oozaru Gohan.
