Voltron II (AKA: Gladiator Voltron) was to be the third version of Voltron for America. It was to be adapted from the anime series Lightspeed Electroid Albegas.
World Events Productions, the company that adapted Beast King GoLion (Voltron Lion Force) and Armored Fleet Dairugger XV (Voltron Vehicle Force) into Voltron originally bought the rights to three different series and planned to make them all set in the same universe (although located in three separate sectors of space). However, due to the popularity of the Lion Force Voltron, which exceeded even the vehicle force, plans to adapt the third series Lightspeed Electroid Albegas were abandoned.
His toy's box states him as being from the tv series Voltron, though he never appeared in it.
