George De Sand

George de Sand is the pilot of the gundam Rose and the fighter for neo-France. He considers himself a knight fighting for the honor of his nation. The only mark on his shining career is his involvment in the 'Marseilles tradgedy' where his opponent remained in front of the spectator stands, thus preventing George from attacking in any way. When the king of France declared George the winner by default his enraged opponent tried to murder the king. When George interveaned his opponents missiles flew into the spectator stands, killing thousands. A rather ironic way to end things.
When George initially met Domon he refused to fight, but after the willful princess of France, Maria Louise, stages her abduction at the hands of Domon to goad George into fighting. The goad is a success and George and Domon do battle. Afterwards George states that he knew all along that the abduction was staged, noting the fact that Domon would never have been able to write a ransom letter in fluent French.
George is the 'jack of diamonds' in the shuffle alliance and fights with fencing and rose shaped shooting devices.
The princess of France is completely infatuated with him and in the end drags him into a rather passionate kiss. It seems to embarass him but he really doesn't resist.
