His upcoming Toei/nitro+ anime movie Rakuen Tsuihō (Exiled From Paradise) seems to have sci-fi elements. Now, there's the newly revealed Suisei no Galgantia spring TV anime series.
In the midst of a war between humans and an alien species, a warp accident transports a child soldier to an unknown water planet where the people there live in large ship convoys and cities are built on the ocean.
Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos' Kazuya Murata directs the Production I.G project with Hanaharu Naruko on character designs. Makoto Ishiwata, who did the Pyscho-Pass Dominator gun, is on mecha design, with Taro Iwashiro (Sacred Star of Milos) on music.
