Gamabunta is a Toad/Frog summoned by Jiraiya
Gamabunta is the head toad that is summoned. He is really big and he is about 100 m. He is mostly summoned out when there is a big and powerful rival. He has 2 children toads which are Gamakichi and Gamatatsu. In demon fox chakra, Naruto can summon Gamabunta but with regular chakra he can only summon the Toad King's small children.
Gamabunta appears in both the original Naruto series, and the Naruto manga. He first appears in the anime in Naruto: Episode # 1, and first appears in the manga in Naruto: Chapter # 1. He is voiced in Japanese by Takeshi Watabe, in English Michael Sorich, and in Spanish Arturo Casanova.
Gamabunta is in short a very overly-sized toad. His size is so great, that when we see him he is easily taller than the highest trees and rivals that of the height of Katsuyu, Tsunade's spirit summon. His color though can be considered unique among toads, as it is more of a rusty orange throughout his entire body, with red markings in various places. He has a very large scare over his left eye, though it does not appear to impale his vision in any way. This scar was given to him some time in the past, though it was never specified in the manga or the series.
He wears a happi vest, of blue in color. It has white markings on it also, very similar to those on his actual body. He also carries around a dagger, which he uses in battle. This dagger however is very large, easily longer than a compact car. He also is usually seen with a pipe in his mouth, smoking it. It is unknown what exactly he smokes, but he even smokes during battles.
Gamabunta is said to have a relatively calm and peaceful personality. Even when in battle, he can usually keep his emotions under control, and this gives him a huge advantage. He is mostly collective, observing all that he can get so he can use that information later. He likes to stay quiet and out of the way if he can, and doesn't like direct confrontation. However, he will do what he has to in order to protect him and his family, even if that means putting his life on the line. Loyalty also goes along with this trait, as those who treat him well he knows that he will owe them back one day.
He does, however, also tend to act a bit grumpy and blue. If it isn't one of the people he is very loyal too or he doesn't trust. Some of those people include Jiraiya, Naruto, and the Fourth Hokage. Sometimes, he may act a bit lazy towards them as well, because he isn't the type to take orders. He, instead, likes to give them.
Gamabunta appeared early in the series Naruto, it starts out when Gamabunta and the 4th Hokage are battling the Nine-Tailed Fox Demon. People knew he could talk when Naruto summoned him while training with Jiraiya. Jiraiya shoved Naruto of a cliff to scare Naruto enough to release his Nine-Tailed chakra, but Jiraiya wasn't counting on him to summon Gamabunta which Naruto did.Gamabunta wasn't happy to be summoned at all and at the bottom of the cliff canyon, then Jiraiya ran away fast.
Mostly Gamabunta is a grumpy and apathetic animal. He doesnt want to take orders from no one, unless its a talented summoner and if he or she earns respect from Gamabunta. Jiraiya, Naruto and Minato Namikaze are the only ones who can ride on his head. He uses Yakuzua Gangster words in Japanese, but he is still a good fighting force. He is protective, he doesnt like to be underestimated. He shows respect to Naruto as if he was his son even though he can be grumpy sometimes. Jiraiya needs a little more help taking control.
Gamabunta couldn't believe a little kid had summoned him. Naruto became very angry for that comment. Naruto said that he summoned him so know he is Gamabunta's master. Gamabunta lost patience and threatened to kill Naruto. Gamabunta gave him a submission move and Naruto apologized and Gamabunta declared him as his subordinate. Naruto passes out from summoning Gamabunta and Gamabunta takes him to the hospital.
When the attack of Konoha took place. Naruto summoned Gamabunta to protect himself by Gaara's Sand Burial Jutsu. When Gaara was n his 100% Shukaku form, he still had the same personality. Gamabunta did not help Naruto until Naruto signs a contract saying they are a team, but Naruto was to young to sign. Naruto accidentally summons Gamakichi and he said that Gaara was bullying him and Naruto came to save him. Gamabunta was impressed so he officially made Naruto his subordinate. Gaara makes him fall asleep making Shukaku escape and have his 100% power. Gamabunta couldn't handle the 100% power of Shukaku. But, Naruto and Gamabunta uses a jutsu combination technique were they can combine Gamabunta's power and the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox's power. Naruto got close enough to give Gaara a brutal punch and wake up Gaara. Gamabunta was once again impressed with Naruto, but now Naruto reached his limit and Gaara reached there full limit and so did Gamabunta so it was a draw.
Gamabunta has displayed great power so far in the series, enough to be considered a great foe by any. Some of that includes his amazing agility for his size, his stealth, and the strength he has shown.
Water Release: Gunshot
This technique was the first we saw him use, and it is a powerful one indeed. It has been concluded that Gamabunta is in fact a Water-Nature fighter, so therefore most of his jutsu's and arts are based or focused on water-type attacks. This particular attack is a large bullet that is formed in Gamabunta's mouth, and after his mouth becomes full, he releases the liquid with the large mighty jaw muscles. This makes the bullet not only more forceful, but also a much faster, getting it's name "bullet."
Fire Release: Toad Oil Flame Bullet
A combination jutsu used between Jiraiya and Gamabunta, its mechanics are very simple, but the result of the attack is far from it. Gamabunta, much like the Water Gunshot technique, gather toad oil in his mouth, preparing to spit it out. Jiraiya uses a Fire Jutsu to call on a steam of fire, and then Gamabunta releases the oil, letting the fire swallow it and become much larger. However, there is one small difference in the attack compared to his other technique. Instead of letting out all of the liquid at once, thus getting it's sphere shape, he like Jiraiya's fire, lets it out in a stream, probably to keep the attack as long as possible, delivering the most damage.
