This franchise is made up of and based on the PC game Gakuen Heaven: Boy's Love Scramble, originally released by the company SPRAY. The franchise includes three PlayStation 2 games, two PlayStation Portable games, drama CDs, one novel, one manga, and an anime.


Keita Itō suddenly received an acceptance letter from the renowned Bell Liberty Academy (also known as BL Gakuen). Unsure if he could make it in such a prestigious environment but he accepts anyhow. The series follows Keita as he tries to find what makes him special enough to be invited to the school and meets many new friends along the way.


Keita Itō (伊藤 啓太 Itō Keita)
Voiced by: Fukuyama Jun
Keita gets a mysterious acceptance letter to one of the most prestigious boys schools despite his lack of obvious special talents.
Kazuki Endo (遠藤 和希 Endō Kazuki)
Voiced by: Sakurai Takahiro
A first year of Bell Liberty Academy he seems to know Keita and takes special interest in making sure he is happy there. He is also Keita's neighbor in the dorm.
Kaoru Saionji (西園寺 郁 Saionji Kaoru)
Voiced by: Kamiya Hiroshi
Dubbed Queen by the school populace and the head of the school Treasury/Accounting department.
Tetsuya Niwa (丹羽 哲也 Niwa Tetsuya)
Voiced by: Konishi Katsuyuki
known as the "King" he is the president of the student council. He neglects his duties as president preferring to find more entertaining things to do.
Omi Shichijo (七条 臣 Shichijō Omi)
Voiced by: Tsuboi Tomohiro
He is extremely talented with computers and can also be extremely dangerous when he wants to. Currently, he helps Saionji at the Treasury/Accounting Department.
Hideaki Nakajima (中嶋 英明 Nakajima Hideaki)
Voiced by: Morikawa Toshiyuki
He is the vice president of the student council. He shows kindness to and cares for Niwa.
Yukihiko Naruse (成瀬 由紀彦 Naruse Yukihiko)
Voiced by: Miki Shinichiro
Captain of the tennis club he takes a liking to Keita and calls him his hunny.
Koji Shinomiya (篠宮 紘司 Shinomiya Kōji)
Voiced by: Okiayu Ryotaro
The dormitory head and president of the Archery club. He and Iwai are close.
Takuto Iwai (岩井 卓人 Iwai Takuto)
Voiced by: Nojima Hirofumi
President of the Art club and a talented artist he is often seen sad and morose but after Keita complemented his work he took a liking to him.
Shunsuke Taki (滝 俊介 Taki Shunsuke)
Voiced by: Suzumura Kenichi, Drama voice by: Majima Junji
Ranked third in a national Cycling Competition he often travels on his bike in crazy places and ways doing odd jobs for King and the others of the school.
Satoshi Umino (海野 聡 Umino Satoshi)
Voiced by: Tomoko Kawakami, Drama voice by: Amada Mahito
A teacher and a researcher for the Academy he looks to be the youngest but is in fact the oldest. Though small he is very strong.
Kakeru Ozawa (小澤 翔 Ozawa Kakeru)
Voiced by: Takeuchi Ken
One of the terriable twosome they often cause problems for Kieta though later the warm up to him.
Wataru Ozawa (小澤 渉 Ozawa Wataru)
Voiced by: Mizushima Takahiro
The second of the twins also nicknamed the Kings of double tennis .
Jin Matsuoka (松岡 迅 Matsuoka Jin)
Voiced by: Narita Ken
Kazuki's mentor and confidant he is also the schools Nurse. He seems to have secrets of his own.


Gakuen Heaven: Boy's Love Scramble (August 2002)

A game for the PC titled Gakuen Heaven: Boy's Love Scramble was published by SPRAY and Visual Art's on August 2, 2002.

Gakuen Heaven: Boy's Love Scramble (November 2003(PS2),2009(PSP))

A game adaption of the first by NEC Interchannel for Playstation 2 and Prototype sor PSP where released November 27, 2003(PS2) and November 26, 2009(PSP).

Gakuen Heaven: Boy's Love Scramble - Type B (January 2004)

A second game adaption for the Playstation 2 published by BEC Interchannel was released on July 22, 2004.

Gakuen Heaven: Okawari ( February 2005(PS2), 2011(PSP) )

A third game adaption of the first was released on February 27, 2005 for the Playstation 2 by Interchannel and February 10, 2011 on the PSP by Prototype.


Gakuen Heaven: Okawari (March 2004)

A Japanese manga adaption written by You Higuri and published by Biblos on March 10, 2004. The series contained only one Volume.


Gakuen Heavan (October 2002)

A novel written by TAMAMI and published by Biblos was released in October of 2002.


Gakuen Heaven: Boy's Love Hyper (April 2006 - June 2006)

An anime adaption directed by Takahashi Natsuko was broadcast on the network AT-X beginning April 1, 2006 and ran until Jun 24, 2006. The series consists of 13 episodes.
