Future Gohan is the master of Future Trunks, from an alternate future in which Androids created by Dr. Gero destroyed major parts of the world. He is one of the last surviving Z-Fighters in that timeline.
He is illustrated, as a 23 year old man, and is the mentor of Future Trunks. In the original manga, you see him during the flashback Trunks was having. Because of doomful world that he spent the most of his life in, Future Gohan is shown being very humourless and alot more aggressive than his present timeline equivalent , but keeps his cool and joking nature, much like his father.
