Curry of Life Arc (Filler)

Funeral March for the Living - 生あるものへの葬送曲 (Sei aru mono e no sōsōkyoku)

Summary

Opening Theme-

"No Boy, No Cry (ノーボーイ・ノークライ)" by Stance Punks

A mad man named Raiga is burying people alive in his village and Might Guy's team (minus Guy) is assigned to investigate the situation. Naruto is assigned to assist them but he refuses to help until Rock Lee tells him that the case may lead to Sasuke, who is hunting down Itachi, because Raiga was a member of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist along with Kisame, Itachi's partner.

The team heads out to the mine but along the way they stop at a curry shop ran by a woman named Sansho. Rock Lee exclaims about the curry there, which turns out to be disgusting to everyone else, and tells a story of how the woman and her son saved his life. Noticing that the boy is no longer there, Lee asks about him and is shocked to find out that he has joined Raiga's gang after being inspired by Lee to become powerful.

Later that night, one of the men that the team is escorting heads off on his own to stop Raiga and the race is on to stop him before he endangers himself.

Ending Theme-

"スピード (Speed)" by Analog Fish
