Uroboros tattoo

My friend wants to get an Uruboros tattoo on his shoulder. I keep telling him that its a bad idea, but I don't want to force him not to. 
 
Do you think it would be cool to get one, or is that really dumb?

If your friend is dead set on getting a tattoo I think it's a good idea for two reasons: it doesn't look bad as a stand-alone design; and the people who recognize it for what it really is are folks your friend can form an instant connection with.

I got the same tattoo at the same spot same as the photo 
done it 7 years ago! and it's all red now.. I need to redo it :(
