I also really liked the ending theme...heh. It was a cute little thing with how all the characters were drawn like that, the song wasn't bad either. I've only heard one other song by SID and that was the opening for Kuroshitsuji, which I liked.
I did love opening and I really like that ending being all crayon looking. From the preview of the next episode I think they just wanted to get all the FMA fans excited and they will start explaining more for non fans in the next episodes. Because if your new to the series, you will not know what's going on from this first episode.
I'm debating if I should watch it or not since I am still in the middle of watching the first series (I think episode 38), but I am looking forward to watching it when I do get around to it! I am always a fan of HD/widescreen stuff so I really look forward to it!
Yea, Episode 1 is pure fanservice. Then again, how else do you want, FMA to start. It like greeting from a old. On the side, it field weird to watch new episode of FMA, went you know almost all the story.
@DJTyrant: I would recommend you watch the rest of the first series. Then by the time your done, you'll have a couple of the new ones to watch.
@Agent_Lost: Well if you only watch the first series then you know a part of it...I have been reading the manga and I notice immediately when the stories separated. So the first part of Brotherhood would be a refresher (in HD!) and then you get into the new stuff that the anime only fans might have missed.
I ran into similar problems with the video player Gia, but I wasn't suprised, considering a) how many people must be trying to watch it today b) it's a smaller service, smaller demand. I do hope it improves next week.
im trying to remember if the first episode happened at all int he manga D: did it? *just read the top, it did not :(" happy waiting for the 2nd episode :D Roy Mustang's seiyuu was a tiny bit fail :( he did an overall good job, but it just didnt not give of the "Roy Mustang" aura that the previous seiyuu did with that deep charismatic voice that oozed hotness xD
Void_Wizard: the rest of the series is supposed to follow the manga more closely. Remember, they're working in an odd situation where a LOT of people are either completely, thoroughly, obsessively familiar with the show, or else they never watched the first season =P
Zeo: Nice to know it wasn't just my internet connection :)
Great episode, great production valves. Really well paced, it felt like a mini movie, they couldbe easly streched that out to a hour or hour and a half long movie. But im wondering whats the point of re-treading the same point elements, why not start from when the movie and show left off. it would be funny to see Edward fighting Nazis.
