Hey Gia, when do you think Greed will come in? (AKA the Devils Nest/Al Abduction Arc)

No clue-- it's been so long since I last watched or read :)

Great idea! This will be fun!  As for my favorite this was simply the HQ animation and just seeing these guys again!

Finally settling down to watch it, still very grateful to Funi for being able to legally watch it.

I haven't watched the second episode in it's entirety yet...but I'm really starting to wonder if this remake was worth it...

I'm starting to think if I should boycott it altogether. The animation quality is really low, I know it's probably because they don't have a big budget like the first anime, but the animation is sloppy sometimes and I still can't get over the designs for the characters. The colors look washed out and faded and the backgrounds are sometimes quite horribly drawn. It does not live up to the original manga at all and I'm starting to think that the first anime (which I hated with a passion for a long time) was 100 times better than this one. The music was fantastic, the animation was  slick and of better quality, the colors were vibrant and the voice actors better. I'm not just talking about the replacement for Roy (because, in the second episode, I think he did a good job, he can't beat the original actor, but still, I give him props for improvement), but it seems to me like  Romi Paku who voices Ed isn't as great as she was the first time around. It almost sounds like she's bored with the role and doesn't put as much effort in it as she used to...

Once again, it's just me.

I think instead of downloading the episodes to keep them on my computer, I'll just watch them directly on the Funimation website...I'll dust off my old FMA dvds and re-watch them over the summer (because there's nothing on tv in summer) because even if the stories diverges from the original manga at some point, the budget along with the passion was there and to me, in this remake, it's just about gone...
