A first year student at Tomoya's school, Fuko spends her time carving and handing out wooden starfish in order to promote her elder sister's wedding.
History
Fuko is an antisocial first year student who is constantly carving starfish to give to people as presents in order to promote her sister's wedding.
Tomoya first meets Fuko in an empty classroom completely absorbed in her carving work. When he sees Fuko's bandages, Tomoya confiscates Fuko's knife, which he later returns while receiving a starfish as well. After learning about Fuko's dream to carve 700 starfish to distribute so that people may come to the wedding, Tomoya and Nagisa decide assist her.
After Tomoya and Nagisa learn that Fuko's real body is hospitalized in a coma, she starts to disappear from the memories of everyone due to her condition worsening. After it seems that everyone had forgotten about Fuko (even Tomoya and Nagisa), everyone remembers their promise to attend her sister's wedding - which turns out to be a huge success. After congratulating her sister, Fuko leaves from everyone's memories, but promises to be friends when they naturally meet upon her awakening.
In after story it is revealed that Fuko has awoken from her coma, but she does not retain her memories of the others, as they do not remember theirs either, Fuko would eventually become friends with Tomoya and Nagisa's child Ushio
Personality
Generally, Fuko is antisocial with a passion for starfish. She is usually withdrawn unless comfortable with people.
By the end of her arc, Fuko seems to view Tomoya and Nagisa as father and mother figures. Her bond with Nagisa grows strong as she lives in her household, and she eventually takes a liking to Tomoya as well. Fuko is generally popular with everyone she meets, even having a Fuko Fan Club formed by a large group of students at her school.
