Franziska von Karma is the whip-wielding prosecutor who's the daughter of Manfred von Karma, and rival to Phoenix Wright and Miles Edgeworth.
Franziska von Karma is the talented young daughter of the legendary prosecutor Manfred von Karma. She went to school overseas in Germany, and with her exceptional skill in law became a prosecutor at the age of 13. Though she also held a heated rivalry with one of her father's disciples Miles Edgeworth. After her father was exposed for using false evidence in trials by an upstart young defense attorney named Phoenix Wright, Franziska returned to her homeland for revenge. Not for her corrupt father but for the honor of her family name.
Franziska von Karma is a supporting character from the Phoenix Wright series that began on the Nintendo Game Boy Advanced then later on the Nintendo DS. They are adventure games involving mystery, investigation, and law. It was developed by CAPCOM in Japan under the original name of Gyakuten Saiban (逆転裁判), but was renamed as Phoenix Wright in the U.S. Franziska was originally named Mei Karuma, and her first appearance was in Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Justice for All (Gyakuten Saiban 2 - 逆転裁判 2). The game was directed and written by Shu Takumi, and art design by Tatsuro Iwamoto. It was released in Japan in October 26, 2006, and in the U.S. on January 16, 2007.
