Origin

Creation

Archer was an original character created for the first Fullmetal Alchemist anime, rather than by the manga author, Hiromu Arakawa. In the Japanese language track, Archer was played by Show Hayami, and in English he is played by Troy Baker.

Major Story Arcs

Lt. Colonel Archer was one of the few army officials who knew King Bradley's true identity, and thus was charged with a lot of difficult work.

When he met Solf J. Kimblee, the former Crimson Alchemist, at the Southern Military Headquarters, he offered to have the former criminal exonerated for his past crimes in exchange for rejoining the military. He accepted, and the two stormed in on the Devil's Nest bar, resulting in many casualties.

He also led the military assault on Reole, which resulted in many casualties once it was discovered that the city was a giant transmutation circle.
