Anyone else complaining after seeing the Next Generation?

I guess i should explain what`s wrong with it but its kinda simple
  • The art looks horrible compared to the original Japanese series
  • The story is ''okay'' but we don`t want okay i loved speed Racer when i was young and onkay doesnt cut it.
  • Tatsunoko didn`t help in this what so ever and it shows
  • Speed is supposed to be the hero i get that ,but WTF is happening here am i suppose to believe that Speed didn knew he was Speed Racer`s son when 1. he loves racing 2. He a natural 3, HIS F#ING NAME IS SPEED! and that the original Speed Racer asked Pop (i assume Pop did it) to de-construct the Mach 5 and mark the parts with special censors that are linked to the key Speed jr happens to be carrying around? that`s retarded! (why do that? lame plot began here)
  • Everything from the last show!, this is the thing that pisses me of the most because it actually points out how horrible the new show looks compared with the original one. And they are supposed to be actual pictures in the show which is even dumber because the new show`s art and the original don`t even match up.
  
 
Anyone else with a better more constructive complaint?

I've never managed to watch more than 2 minutes of an episode of Speed Racer: the next generation. At some point my gag reflex takes over and I just have to change the channel. 
 
I know that probably wasn't the constructive complaint you were looking for, but it just feels so... wrong, and cheap... and wrong. Did I mention the gagging?

I'm not complaining. I think Picard' diplomacy serves as a nice contrast against Kirk's forthright attitude, yet both are particularly good captains. The new cast is also interesting and has a good working dynamic that can be very analogous with the original (I'm looking at you, Data) yet stands out on their own. Plus a separating saucer section is pretty bad ass.
 
Oh, we're talking about Speed Racer? Oops.
