Slayer does not talk to humans. At all. Amongst them he has no friends, no allies, but wanders the Earth in search of a challenge, and communicates through grunts and his weapons.
He carries with him a sword larger than himself. Rarely is he seen with the same sword in two separate battles. It is unknown where his source is, or how he gets them, or how he wields them with such apparent ease, but Slayer swings these massive weapons around like they were spoons in his hand.
Slayer is indomitably tough. He can bleed, we know that much, but he has been known to get hit by a car on the street then slice through a large truck seconds afterwards. He can swing swords larger than himself while leaping great distances.
Slayer lives for the fight. Research indicates he was raised amongst Ogres, and is familiar with their ways. Orphaned at a very young age, Slayer was raised amongst Ogres, and as such, is unfamiliar with human cultures. He understands English, but his vocal chords are too accustomed to the guttural grunts of the Ogre language that he cannot adapt to speak human tongue. However, his is a deep lover of music, and loves to sing all of the ogre war hymns, sometimes even adapting the human songs to fit the ogre tongue.
Being the smallest amongst the ogre children, Slayer grew tough fast. As a child he was capable of taking trees smashed on his head as means of a greeting, and is capable of fighting on an ogre level and standing his ground amongst them. He is no leader amongst his people, but has his standing fairly high on the pecking order. He made this through cleverness, combat ability and sheer grit that even an Ogre just had to admire.
He has realised, since his early twenties, that he is not an Ogre and cannot live amongst them, but he visits his kin as his travels permit. Currently he lives, fighting and slaying, doing as ogres do. Having gone through all the ogre religious rites, he has earned the right to be an ogre in every sense of the word, despite being the wrong size and colour. Due to the dexterity of his human tongue, Slayer was able to learn much of Ogre Magicks. Ogre Shouts are the staple of the Ogre Magicks. Most Ogres can only learn a few Shouts in their lifetimes due to the clumsiness of their tongues when speaking the ancient language of the Ogre Shouts, which seems to bear some similarity to the lost dragon tongues.
Slayer, or rather, HRUN HNR, the Powerful Runt, lived up to his name. Despite his voice box being almost incapable of speaking human languages, his human tongue was able to speak all of the Ogre Shouts, all of which have many effects, from making him grow in size and affecting the weather. What the shouts do not do is launch fireballs or create barriers. Ogre magic works with the laws of nature, bringing forth extra strength from the world around him and from the magical forces around everything, and not to enforce his will upon the world, like most human magic.
Many confuse Slayer for stupid. He is not. He is a simple man who does not speak your language and comes from a rich culture of smashing peoples heads in. He has little social anxieties, despite the initial struggle to adjust to the life of humans. Outside his species, Slayer enjoys the presence of Trolls, debates with dragons, and tolerates Orcs and Orks, finding Goblins annoying and Uruk-Hai too uptight.
Slayer has found his intrinsic identity, and does not care much for it. He is happy being what he is, and bridges the gap between both the human and the ogre worlds. He currently wanders the earth, gathering swords and looking for a mate that also straddles the cultural lines of other species. Being brought up Ogre, Slayer likes the bigger girls, ones with a bit of meat and capable of cracking a dragons skull bare-handed.
