@Fehafare: @SamJaz:

"I can try." Arthur replied and started cooling the air around the monster, and frost started appearing on the cloth the creature was covered with, but Arthur felt exhausted before he could completely freeze it.

"Sorry, out of mana." However Wolfion had an infinite supply of missiles. "FrostBite Missile."A bunch of missiles flew out of Wolfions robotic body and hit the monster covering parts of it with ice, however that was only partial and there were still parts withourt ice on them.

@ChronoWolf: @SamJaz:

Everything was in place, tho Phantom wasn't sure if the cloth would hold the Monster down and for how long if it really would do so. As such he'd make it quick and effective.

"Better get away guys." he gave the team one last moment to take safety measures, pin the monster further down and to get away from it.

The warning thing time around wasn't for the danger of the explosion. Unlike the previous floors this one wasn't small at all and using Mark III wasn't asking for the whole damn floor to collapse on them. On top of that the monster was big enough to contain most of the explosion anyway.

On the other hand it didn't take a genius to figure out where all that rotten flesh is going when that thing is blown up. Phantom was somewhat tempted to make Hagane stand close to it, but considering that she could get some thirty different disease just from standing close to then thing, most of them probably deadly, he gave up on the idea as it would make him look like the bad guy between the two of them.

@ChronoWolf: @Fehafare:

Hitomi and Hagane both legged it, getting to a safe distance where Hagane formed a large bomb shelter, converting the sand into stone.

Hitomi dove in and felt smooth floor underneath her feet- Hagane must've used a LOT of sand to make all that material.

@SamJaz: @ChronoWolf:

Seeing that everyone was sheltered Phantom made his move. It didn't take much to make this work, something made out of so much soft tissue wouldn't put up a fight. He creates a single Mark III Exploding Card. Before firing it off he also creates a box out of large cards around himself, the Explosive Card being outside of it. The reason was simple, a fate he didn't even wish for Hagane, sure as hell wasn't something for him either.

A snap of his fingers later and the card crosses the distance between Phantom and the monster in an instant. The following explosion uplifts more sand than the monster itself did. Though it wasn't just sand, bits of flesh, burning skin and frozen body parts were flying everywhere. The giant fire ball consumes the monster lighting up the night for a short moment turning it into day, they'd probably have to explain this to the people in the camp.

As everything clears the remains of the monster are revealed. Some 10% of it's body was still there while the rest was scattered all over the desert.

To Phantom's disgust though, those 10% were still moving and wriggling around.

@ChronoWolf: @Fehafare:

"Screw it." Hitomi decided. "We're done here."

Hagane nodded in agreement, pressing her hand against the sand and pushing it aside, compressing it into cinnamon, pressed around the rotting flesh to mask the smell while uncovering the location of the stairs. "Where's SamJaz?"

"He went ahead." Hitomi lied. "We're meeting him downstairs." She added, which was a truth.

The team found themselves in a wooded corridor, like the inside of an old galleon. Despite the decent lighting and the smell of sea salt all around, Hitomi couldn't see the ocean outside the window, even though the floor was rocking rhythmically, as if on waves.

Following the corridor lead to the Captain's Mess, where the team was met with a worrying sight.

The floor was littered with bones, rusty weapons and torn clothing. It was clear that a battle had taken place, and that the team had been intended to fight against a crew of skeleton pirates.

Instead, there was one man standing in the midst of the carnage.

He was muscular. Not massive, but it was clear that he could handle himself. He wore a tight fitting black T-shirt and black gloves that extended from his knuckles to his elbows, with dull black plating on the forearms. He were blue jeans, supported by a belt that seemed to be comprised entirely of pouches. A large box was strapped to his right thigh, and his left leg was covered in pockets and pouches.

His shoes were bright red, thick soles intended for gripping slippy surfaces and tightened by a white strap with a gold buckle on the side.

The most striking aspect of this figure, however, was his head. It was a bleached white skull, with two golden iris's glowing within the blackness of his eye sockets. A black crown adorned the skull, which was thicker than the fleshy neck that supported it.

The figure turned around, glaring at the team, and words emanated from behind its macabre grin as a violin began to play somewhere.

\_ I am a little bit of loneliness a little bit of disregard _/

\_ Handful of complaints but I can’t help the fact that everyone can see these scars _/

\_ I am what I want you to want what I want you to feel _/

\_ But it's like no matter what I do, I can't convince you, to just believe this is real _/

\_ So I let go, watching you, turn your back like you always do _/

\_ Face away and pretend that I'm not _/

The Lich King kicked a discarded cutlass into the air, spinning into another kick to send the blade spinning towards the team.

\_ But I'll be here 'cause you're all that I got. _/

@Fehafare: @SamJaz: While they were going down the stairs, Arthur took some candy from Matt which helped him regain his mana back. After the little song Arthur diflected the cutlass while it was going for the team, with a shield of ice, which he followed up with twelve ice shards launched at the skeleton, two of which were aimed at it's skull.

Matt transformed into Angelus, a digimon he had yet to show of in the Hellscraper

A shining angel, wraped in a blue ribbon, and with a stick in his hand stood in Matt's place. "Holy redemption!" Holy light surrounded the skeleton, burning it as if it was in hell itself, while no one in the team felt any heat coming from the light.

@ChronoWolf: @Fehafare:

The Lich King danced, getting closer and closer to the team as he dodged around the shards of ice, kicking some in the air and causing shards of blue light to spin amongst the holy fire that- somehow, did nothing to harm the king.

\_ I'm alive. _/ the king reminded the team as he slapped his muscular chest with his hands.

\_ Well, you're dead inside. I'm a slap in the face to your lullaby. _/

\_ Got you all tongue tied when you're living a lie my friend. _/

The king hopped on the spot once, then dashed at the ice wall, gaining speed before jumping into a front flip, landing feet first at the top of the ice wall and pushing it over.

Onto FCL.

@SamJaz: The wall suddenly exploaded in a storm of ice shards, pushing away the skeleton into some floating ice shards, whic was followed up by Angelus hitting it in the skull with a glowing fist. The secret behind the fist is that Angelus can adjust it for any occasion.

Right now it was supposed to create enough pressure to crack the skeleton's skull.

Post by SamJaz (13,107 posts) See mini bio Level 20

@ChronoWolf: @Fehafare:

The Lich King took the fist to the face, but something went wrong.

The shockwave passed through the skull, like a ripple through water, but it wasn't damaged.

The skull wasn't made of bone.

The Lich King curled up, wrapping his legs and arms around the angel's arm and twisted, pushing his feet against the angel's shoulder as he did so to shred the muscles within.

It was a wrestling move, usually done to tear at stomach muscles during a hold, but the Lich King adapted.

No Magic. No Sorcery.

Just overpowered human skill applied against an inhuman enemy.

@SamJaz: @ChronoWolf:

Phantom decided to join the fight. Given how close his enemy and ally were he'd use Cutting Cards instead of the more destructive explosions causing ones.

He created a Mark III cutting card and aimed it at the Lich King's shoulder, aiming to cut off his whole arm, ending the grip in the process.

Post by SamJaz (13,107 posts) See mini bio Level 20

@Fehafare: @ChronoWolf:

The Lich King curled up, forcing the arm up before jumping off and stepping onto the card.

The card grew as the Lich King span in the air, carrying it on his foot, before launching it into the ground at a diagonal angle.

the card continued to grow, cutting through the ground as the Lich King rose to his full height, easily a full head over Arthur but not quite as tall as transformed Matt.

The King stamped onto the ground, on the team's side of the cut, and sent the ground falling down a ramped shaft, sliding down like a minecart on a rail.

Fires erupted from cauldrons alongside the shaft, with skeletons beating on drums as the galleon descended.

The Lich King jumped, crashing through and destroying the wooden ceiling of the ship as he grinned at the team.

The gesture he made with his hand was instantly recognisable, even if he didn't speak.

\_ Come at me bro. _/

@SamJaz: @ChronoWolf:

Phantom created walls of cards, containing the flames as well as serving as platforms to stop the fall.

He then flew up, created a swarm of cards, a mixture between Mark II Cutting and Explosive Cards, launching all of them at his enemy.

Post by SamJaz (13,107 posts) See mini bio Level 20

@Fehafare: @ChronoWolf:

The Lich King grinned, running up the side of the wall before jumping along and redirecting the cards towards FCL while Skeletons from below destroyed the cards and resuming the fall.

Arthur made wings to catch up with the Lich King, grab it by any part of it's body and hold it in place, while Matt flew right behind it and used "Light Blast!" Which fired a beam of light from his staff.

Post by SamJaz (13,107 posts) See mini bio Level 20

@ChronoWolf: @Fehafare:

The Lich King extended his leg, baiting Arthur to take it so he could slam his kneecap into the frost wolf's face. The beam of light engulfed him, and he fell towards Arthur amongst the cards, unfazed by the holy magic.

Post by Fehafare (9,680 posts) See mini bio Level 13

@SamJaz: @ChronoWolf:

The arrogant attitude of this guy was slowly getting on Phantom's nerves. The cards that were redirected, like many times before, disappear without a trace.

A new floor of cards is created to stop the fall, but this time Mark III ensuring that nothing that doesn't destroy the whole ship will destroy those cards. He also made them move upwards returning the whole team to where they were.

They'd get to the fight for real now.

Getting the feeling that holy attacks won't work, Matt switched to Myotis, the elegant vampire, and used "Crimzon Whip!" A whip of electrified blood hit, and wraped around the Lich King.

Douring that time, Arthur took a knee to the face.

Post by SamJaz (13,107 posts) See mini bio Level 20

@ChronoWolf: @Fehafare:

The knee impacted against Arthur's face, cracking his nose as the whip wrapped around the King's arm. He pulled, roaring against the pain as he impacted against the floor, smalling Arthur down and cracking the ice wings, sending blue shards all over the place.

The Lich King then unleashed an animalistic growl, like a wild cat, and pulled on the trapped arm, reducing the bloody whip to dust as cannonfire from below began to obliterate the cards and the ship.

Within seconds, the ship was chunks of wood, rolling down a black slope. The Lich King landed on the blackness, sliding down as he looked from side to side, choosing his next opponent.

Hitomi was nowhere to be seen, and Hagane was readying her lance, looking for an opening so she could figure out just what this creature was.

It wasn't undead, that much was certain.

It also wasn't invincible- that whip had left a spiral of scorch marks along its right arm.

@Fehafare: @SamJaz:

Arthur almost got knocked out by the beating he took. Key word, almost. He cast a healing spell to fiy himself up, and as soon as the spell took effect the ship broke down. Arthur started sliding down the slope, following LK, with a spear in his hands.

As the shop broke down, Matt/Myotis turned into a small red orb before red lightining struck the slope in front of the King, originationg from the orb. At that exact spot Matt appeared, for just a second, before he repeated that same move. He crimzon blitzed straight through the Lich King, and appeared behind him. The Lich would feel as if he was struck by normal lightning. Matt followed that up with "Bat swarm!"

A large group of bats appeared out of nowhere and surounded the Lich King. They started biting him, sucking out all magic power he has, like a vampire sucks out blood.

Post by SamJaz (13,107 posts) See mini bio Level 20

@ChronoWolf: The Lich King shouted as the red lightning tore through his chest, but seemed unfazed by the red lightning that he passed through on the slope.

The bats seemed to concern him. Adapting, The Lich King jumped into the air and surrounded himself with spheres of hardened water, which flew out and exploded, the water expanding rapidly and viciously to crush the bats against the wall, leaving wet, dripping smears in their place.

The King then landed back onto the slope, casting a healing spell onto himself. His shirt was torn, and there were scorch marks on his chest.
