It was already past midnight when two slender figures, a man and a woman, approached the ruins that were once a temple at the outskirts of Tokyo. Though the night had a full moon it was also a very cloudy one, leaving the temple shrouded in darkness. The two figures were people from the Demon Hunter Organization. The girl was Alice Fujin and the young man next to her was known as Akira Asagami. His hair was completely white and messy and his posture was calm and relaxed, with no tension present, as if he was a marionette hanging on strings. When one inspected the long, wide sleeves of his robes it also became evident that the man was lacking an arm. But besides his obvious handicap he had one more, that couldn't be seen in his physical appearance or even his behavior. His dull, bored gray eyes had no purpose whatsoever, he was blind from birth, yet he never displayed a sign of it and even today many members of the Organization don't know about that. But that wasn't too surprising as Akira was a dedicated artist and just one look at his paintings would make anyone doubt that this man was blind, even if he himself said so.

"Wonderful night, isn't it?" he walks forward and places his hand on Alice's shoulder while gazing up to the temple. "Watch it blind-boy, or you want to lose that arm as well?" Alice raises knife for a second while shaking his arm off and taking a few steps towards the temple. "Moody as ever, are we?" Akira follows her while making a gesture with his hand. "Women like you are a mystery to me. But hey, you know you need me on this job, so how about we just get along?" this time he puts his arm around her. Alice clenches both her fist and her teeth. She just hated to be reminded of the fact that she really needed the guy here. Even if she didn't want to admit it, Akira was by far the most knowledgeable person she knew when it came to Spirits and he was also a brilliant exorcist. Not to mention that his ability he had from birth on would make this job much more comfortable than it normally would be. Usually Alice disliked having teammates that were helpful as they'd just take away from her "playtime" and even kill some enemies instead of her. But this case was special, Alice didn't enjoy ghost and spirits of most kinds. They were always so depressing and uninspiring. They always had some sad story to tell and literally begged for sympathy, Alice just couldn't stand beings like that. Even if he got the chance to kill them, they'd still bore her to death before she could.

She hits Arika with her elbow and frees herself from his grip and storms of to the temple, leaving him behind as he twists in pain holding his stomach, his calm smile still not leaving his face.

@VoidShiki:

"Ah, young love." SamJaz said with a smirk as he approached Arika from behind. "Sorry, don't mind me, just a random passerby." He added, jogging into the temple with a large key in hand, resting it on his shoulder.

@SamJaz:

Both Alice and Akira turn around with their bodies under tension and placed in a fighting stance. Both had a sharp and piercing look in their eyes, pointed right at the back of the man. The reason from that was their Jougan, the young man passing them by activated both of them. It was true that they felt supernatural presence all night long since they came close to the temple, but those were weak activities of which they couldn't even tell the exact location, on the other hand they could pinpoint this man even if he was miles away.

Akira is the first one to relax and go back to his usual state of apparent dizziness. He didn't feel any kind of negative aura or threat coming from the man so there was no reason from him to take action. Alice was quiet different, she already has a grin on her face as her battlelust slowly raised. Akira took a swift step forward and placed his hand on her shoulder. It wasn't a gentle tap or rub, but rather an iron grip. He placed all the strength he had into his hand, his nails already going through her blue kimono and digging into her skin. Akira already did a few missions with Alice and knew how dangerous her bloodlust could be. Though one would consider that kind of behavior to go in hand with the line of work, that wasn't exactly true. Most members were emotionally indifferent when it came to the killing of supernatural beings, it was rare for them to develop some kind of attraction to the smell of blood like Alice did. In fact Alice was the only person Akira knew to act violent like that, especially to the levels that Alice went to.

"Listen..." he tightens his grip while speaking. That wasn't for any real prevention or anything, Akira knew well that if Alice was to dash off in a fit of bloodlust she would be more likely that she'll rip his entire arm of than that he'll actually slow her down. It was only something he used to enforce his request. Alice stands there motionlessly, completely ignoring the force applied to her shoulder. She was staring at the man with the iron gaze of a predator. After remaining like that for a few seconds she breaths out, completely releasing all the tension in her muscles. As her body lightens she does Akira's grip and he sighs in relief.

Alice didn't mind, thanks to her Jougan she could trace the man whenever she wanted, and if she waited till they are in the temple he couldn't escape so easily. "Let's get this over with Blindy." she calls Akira while entering the temple right after the man.

@VoidShiki:

"DOMINION!"

There was the sound of a bullet breaking glass as SamJaz summoned the angel into the tower. The room temporarily filled with Light, and SamJaz found some unlit torches he could ignite. "FIRE!" He shouted, launching fireballs at the appropriate targets as the light from the angel faded, and within seconds the temple foyer was illuminated by candlelight.

SamJaz was enjoying this experience. The temple was all vines and trees and locked doors and all the dungeoney goodness he could have expected from a forest temple in the middle of a forest that appeared in the middle of Tokyo.

One could argue that he should have learned Japanese before coming to Japan, but SamJaz was convinced that the keyblade granted him the power to speak all languages. It didn't, at least, it wouldn't for people with a resistance to the supernatural like Alice and Akira.

But at the moment, he intended to go alone. Forgoing his keyblade's ability to open locked doors, SamJaz went through the unlocked door on his left, trusting that he would be able to solve any puzzles he was convinced he'd find.

It was almost like this was a game for him.

@SamJaz:

The sounds of moving critters could be heard moving across the old the wooden floors and walls of the room. It was pitch black, but there was evidence that something was hidden in the shadows. Some candles that were lying around the room started to ignite in a paranormal fashion revealing what was in the darkness. A variety of strangely green tinted bugs were starting to move from the walls and ceiling to a concentrated spot on the floor. They got together and suddenly started to form a humanoid like figure. It didn't take long as a new female form was made. She appeared to be wearing law enforcement attire, and had a sickly tint to her skin and hair. She opened her strange green eyes and looked at the man standing before and said to him in a ghoulish manner.

Matt walked to the enterance of the temple. He though it was a rather creepy place from the outside, no wonder there were a lot of scary stories spreading around about it. Some of you might wonder what the hell is Matt doing here. Or who the guy walking behind him was. Or why the hell was he wearing a ghost busters costume. The guy behind him is a friend of his. He wanted to check out the temple as he was into the occult and a geek. He had nothing better to do and though this would be fun, so he called Matt along. But not even Matt knew why they wore the costums."Chris, you have ten seconds to tell me why I shouldn't take this stupid suit off."

"It's comfortable, it looks cool and is perfect for hunting ghost." Chris told Matt. "Oh, and you don't have any other clothes so you're kind of stuck in it."

"maybe,no, no and no." He took out his digivice and sucked the suit into it while, at the same time, making his regular clothes appear on him. He didn't believe in ghosts and though that Chris's obsession with the occult was stupid, but he never told him that. Chris tried to say something but he was interupted by the digivice making a loud beeping sound. A familliar mist started forming around the temple, making it even creepier then before. "Well, well, wit seems we're going to see some action in this place. A bakemon just appeared." Bakemon is a champion ghost digimon of the virus type. The one in the temple is powerfull and rather old. It was attracted into the world by unnatural energies located inside of the temple.

Matt and Chris entered the temple, ready to face the bakemon, but inside other dangers lurk, lost spirits as well as other humans. Let's hope these two get out of there without too much trouble.

Alice and Akira were in complete darkness, they couldn't see even each other standing a meter apart. That changes when a blue flame ignites, it was levitating right above Akira's palm. It flies around the couple for a few seconds, making two laps and then comes to a stop right in front of them. It lights the path as they walk. Soon they arrive to a old rotten door. The flame burns it down and then disappears as the room behind it was naturally illuminated by moonlight.

Akira is the first one to step inside. "It's a praying room, nothing special." Alice just looks around without replying to his comment. "What we are searching for is probably much deeper sealed in the temple, that's why our Jougan don't react." Alice was still silent, the reason for that was what was happening around them. They were being circled in. Normally something like this would be impossible when supernatural beings are concerned but this place was different. They were picking up all sorts of small signals, while inside the temple. The only thing they could actually locate was the man from before, another being close to him and some other stronger spirits. The things that were preying on them right now were lesser fairies. Though the term was much wider when used by the DHO and had little to do with the traditional fairy from legends.

Fairies were considered a species and came in all forms and shapes, these here were the most common and perhaps most harmless ones. They had the appearance of transparent dragonflies with four wings, a red orb was shining in the middle of their body. The only thing that gave the rest of their body color was the moonlight, gracing them with a light blue tint. Normally they lived alone and it was impossible for them to be registered by humans or to interact with the real world. They'd feed on the energies living beings gave of without affecting them in anyway. But their behavior undergoes drastic changes when they gather in swarms. That only happened in places that had a strong magical presence and were cut off from civilization for some time, a temple like this would be a perfect example. When they formed swarms their new targets became souls. In most cases it would be dead souls, which supplied them with energy and as such the temple was a perfect hunting zone for them, but if given the chance they gladly devoured the souls of the living as well. That was what gave them a chance to progress, the power gained from souls triggered their own personal micro evolution, allowing them to transcend to a new level. Because of that and the fact that all of their victims are reduced to a lifeless husk with no trace of spirit left in them these fairy swarms became known as "Spiritual Piranha".

"Hey Blindy! We got company." Alice calls out to Akira, who was still examining the room, unaware of the threat. She readies her knife and puts on a slasher smile as Akira turns towards her.

With the help of a handy English-Japanese translation guide, SamJaz was able do decipher the message on the wall and gave out a laugh. "Mormon actually, but that's neither here nor there." He announced to the ghostly apparition before him. "My name's SamJaz, it's good to meet you Waverly." He said with a pleasant smile, keeping his eyes firmly at eye level.

Buck parks his pickup across the road in parallel, having to wait as an elderly woman gets out. He then takes off his seat-belt before closing the door, there is a large object in the back wrapped in heavy cloth. The rooster unwraps the package to assemble a makeshift proton pack from regular everyday objects, also a ghost trap made from Styrofoam and plastic cups. Buck puts on his wire headset to play some Ray Parker Jr. , wearing the backpack apparatus behind his labcoat. The cardboard spectrometer detects massive ectoplasmic disturbances emanating from the Temple.

Climbing up the stairways Buck knocks on the gates.

Alice was spinning around, knife in hand. The fairies were coming from all sides so she had a large area to cover, but it didn't look like it was a challenge to her. All she had to do it crush the core, the little red dot inside their body and for a task like that her knife was more than enough. The fairies on the other hand had to put much more effort into their attacks. They would shoot themselves like bullets towards their prey. Their wings served as spiritual blades in that charge. If they passed through the body a part of the person's soul would be chipped away. There would be n visible wound, but an unbearable burning pain would appear on the spot where the person was cut. After many cuts on different places were made the person would be completely paralyzed and they couldn't even stand anymore. The fairies would then devour what was left of one's soul while the person couldn't do anything about it.

And while the scenario certainly sounded Alice was completely calm. She dealt with these beings many times before, so this wasn't anything new or special for her. The insect like bodies of the fairies were piling up around her rapidly. Though the fairy graveyard didn't last long. After they had their core crushed, the body of a fairy remained in this world for only a few more moments before disappearing without trace.

Akira probably had even more experience than Alice, considering how often he worked with Spirits and other beings that attracted this kind of fairies. Though, his approach was quiet different. Instead of the swift and fluid motion Alice was using Akira seemed like an old man. He walk so slow, to the point that he was nearly stationary. In his hand was a blue flame like the one from before. Anything that came close to him would be registered by the azure blaze. When a fairy came close to him the blue flame shot out a narrow bullet like string of flames, piercing the fairies core and burning it's body alongside it.

A swarm of more than hundred fairies was reduced to a small ground of just a few in a matter of seconds.

Waverly started to hover and circle around SamJaz; actually stiffing him and looking at his strange weapon known as the keyblade. Waverly started to look into SamJaz's eyes, and up really close on him as if to kiss him. A green millipede started to dangle from Waverly's ill colored nose. She stuck out her rotting tongue and caught the millipede with it before it could hit the ground. Waverly with a loud crunch started to eat the bug right in front of SamJaz's face. Once she finished eating her treat she levitated backwards and said him in her ghoulish manner.

As Waverly finished asked SamJaz her question there was a strange knock at the door. Waverly scratched her head wondering who it was. Looking at SamJaz she asked him

The chicken kicked down the door as he sings along the Ghostbuster's Theme song, pointing his DIY proton pack made by goods from a minimart. The ghost trap is tied behind as he points his proton caster. Getting jiggy to Ray Parker Jr. as he whips out his rifle-like projectile launcher. Dancing with it as he moved along the corridor, changing the mood from a scary one to a very awkward and somewhat unsettling one. Reminding him fond memories of where he jacked a ESDF maser cannon to capture a Sadako projection from a jumbotron in a japanese baseball stadium. The ghost trap made from a septic tank, it did work but it was awkward when he got back in traffic. Upon hearing a shot he shone a bright light from his flashlight, hoping to illuminate the source before shooting it down. He has harnessed ghost energy in the past, trapping them with specialized Faraday cages and burning them to synthesize supernatural materials together. Since this one had the aura oa powerful haunting than the item will be strong. He carries a stronger backup but that was something for later.

Alice swings at the last core visible to her and with that fairy swarm cases to exist.

Unlike Alice, Akira did not produce a small graveyard as all the bodies were burned by the blue flame before touching the ground, leaving no trace of them. "And Alice-chan, already warmed up?" Akira asks in a playful tone. It was probably wrong to encourage her bloodlust and frenzy, but he knew that it was the only way for him to start a conversation with him anyway. She grins at him but then replies in a disappointed tone "Small fries like that aren't worth shit..." while crossing her arms and frowning.

Akira smiles at the reply and then slowly starts leaving them room. "Guess i'll just have to find you a worthy opponent then" he says it more to himself than to her, still smiling. He was a little bit scared about it, and was even ashamed of the fact that he liked seeing Alice completely devoted to a fight at the height of her excitement and bloodlust, most other people and even members of DHO described it as scary. Akira didn't cheer her up to do it or anything, if anyone he knew how troublesome and dangerous she could be in situations like that, but he always thought it's beautiful, he even tried to get her to stand model for one of his paintings, though that only resulted in a broken nose when he asked one time too much. He waves with his hand urges her to follow him as he heads further down the corridor deeper into the temple.

@SamJaz: @Sonata: @Nerx: @VoidShiki: Matt was moving through the temple, Chris walking next to him. He used his digivice to locate the digimon. It was deep in the temple. There is no denying that the temple is creepy, and there is something wierd in the air. But ghosts don't exist.

Matt turned a corner and noticed a red light in the distance. He squinted trying to see what it is and another light appeared.Then another one. And another. The lights just kept appearing. They got closer and a white membrane incased them as they passed a window, disappearing again as they moved away from it. Matt could feel hostility eminating from the orbs. He turned around as he didn't want those things getting near him. But behind him stood Chris. He was mesmorised. He said something about faries. "Come on Chris, we have to move."

"Right, fairies are dangerous in groups."

"I don't think fairies look like like that." Matt said as the two ran the way they came.

"No, it's true. I saw the same thing in one of my occult books. If alone they don't pose a problem, just stealing energy. But in groups they consume souls."

They ran but it was too late. The fairies noticed them and started chasing them. They were getting closer. "They're chasing us. We can't escape." Matt said . He transformed into Gallantus, the shining knight. The spear on his hand, called Gram, started glowing lightly. Arcs of electricity could be see when Matt/Gallantus yelled "Lightning joust!" He was pulled towards the fairies. As he passed through the wall of fairies a gaping hole was left. However there was still a lot of fairies. Most turned toward Matt but some kept going after Chris. He noticed Chris turning another corner and the faries trying to go after him. Like hell you are - Matt thought

His spear split open and a small hole could be seen. He placed his shield, Aegis, over the hole. "Royal Blast!" Electricity came out of the hole and hit the shield. The shield started glowing and a blast of light and lightning engulfed the whole corridor. All the fairies were completely disintegrated and the whole temple shook. Matt went after Chris and saw him on the floor.

"You OK Chris?"

"Yeah. Next time try not to make an earthquake."

"Well, get of the floor and lets keep looking for the bakemon." Matt said while de-digivolving.

The two went further into the temple. Let's hope nothing worse then fairies attacks them.

Drawing the weapon on his back, SamJaz slammed the metal into the floor, launching a shockwave that sent stone slabs upwards in vicious shards. "WE DON'T WANT ANY VACUUMS!" He said, getting onto a swords stance and charging another spell.

He winked playfully at Waverly. "I'll have to turn down the snack I'm afraid." SamJaz said with a smile. "I ate before I came, don't wanna spoil my breakfast."

As Alice's grin grew wider, Akira's uneasiness grew stronger. They were on the way to the room where the man from before was, their Jougan could tell easily. Normally Akira would do anything to avoid meeting anyone that might "excite" Alice, but right now there was no way around it. The room was directly on their path, they had to go through it if they wanted to get to the sealed part of the temple they had to get past that room. To make matters worse, there was another entity next to him that was also registered by their Jougan. This was the perfect situation for Alice to go wild. But if that actually happened, not only would it slow them down but Akira would also be left to deal with a corpse in a sacred temple of all places.

By now Alice was leading the way and her steps were much faster than her usual uninterested and bored way of walking. "Hurry, up Blindy!" she calls him as a fire flashes in her eyes. All Akira could do is hope he'll figure something out before they get to the room.
