It was already past midnight when two slender figures, a man and a woman, approached the ruins that were once a temple at the outskirts of Tokyo. Though the night had a full moon it was also a very cloudy one, leaving the temple shrouded in darkness. The two figures were people from the Demon Hunter Organization. The girl was Alice Fujin and the young man next to her was known as Akira Asagami. His hair was completely white and messy and his posture was calm and relaxed, with no tension present, as if he was a marionette hanging on strings. When one inspected the long, wide sleeves of his robes it also became evident that the man was lacking an arm. But besides his obvious handicap he had one more, that couldn't be seen in his physical appearance or even his behavior. His dull, bored gray eyes had no purpose whatsoever, he was blind from birth, yet he never displayed a sign of it and even today many members of the Organization don't know about that. But that wasn't too surprising as Akira was a dedicated artist and just one look at his paintings would make anyone doubt that this man was blind, even if he himself said so.
"Wonderful night, isn't it?" he walks forward and places his hand on Alice's shoulder while gazing up to the temple. "Watch it blind-boy, or you want to lose that arm as well?" Alice raises knife for a second while shaking his arm off and taking a few steps towards the temple. "Moody as ever, are we?" Akira follows her while making a gesture with his hand. "Women like you are a mystery to me. But hey, you know you need me on this job, so how about we just get along?" this time he puts his arm around her. Alice clenches both her fist and her teeth. She just hated to be reminded of the fact that she really needed the guy here. Even if she didn't want to admit it, Akira was by far the most knowledgeable person she knew when it came to Spirits and he was also a brilliant exorcist. Not to mention that his ability he had from birth on would make this job much more comfortable than it normally would be. Usually Alice disliked having teammates that were helpful as they'd just take away from her "playtime" and even kill some enemies instead of her. But this case was special, Alice didn't enjoy ghost and spirits of most kinds. They were always so depressing and uninspiring. They always had some sad story to tell and literally begged for sympathy, Alice just couldn't stand beings like that. Even if he got the chance to kill them, they'd still bore her to death before she could.
She hits Arika with her elbow and frees herself from his grip and storms of to the temple, leaving him behind as he twists in pain holding his stomach, his calm smile still not leaving his face.
