Hey people. I just posted a review for Episode 5 of Best Wishes in Reviews. But I just wanted to ask. Is.....What do you think is up with Ash's Pikachu I mean it's lost every battle so far and hasn't won. I'm really surprised on what is going on. What has happened to our beloved Pikachu! T^T

Pikachu isn't the overpowered little fuzzball he usually is? Huh, that does sound unusual. Who knows, maybe they will change things up a little with this series...
...though I doubt it will be long before Pikachu fries a girl's bike and then the girl decides to follow Ash until he pays her back, if that hasn't happened already.
I watched some of episode 1 with some ridiculous subtitles. They were subbing Pikachu and everyone was making sex jokes, it was kinda funny.
That's pretty much where I'm at with Pokémon these days. It was great back in the day though, ahh the memories.

@cfatalis: maybe but i'm surprised it doesn't get enough rest when they walk to the town with the gym. But it lost to a water type. THE 1st GYMS WATER TYPE!
@Newten: Funny thing Newten is that Iris didn't have a bike and this is the only time the ((not counting Dawn because she HAS a bike)) Pikachu had nothing to destroy and didn't!

Was i the only one who saw episode 1? Pikachu obviously got majorally de-powered once Zekrom's static leftovers hit him.(Who was obviously jealous that a stronger electric type then him was around) He needed to be re-powered thanks to the booby professor to get his eletricity back and he had to give it another try to get volt tackle working.

Pikachu's power level goes in a cycle
At the beginning of a series he is as weak as starter pokemon.
Towards the end of the season he can fight legendary level pokemon
when he goes to a new region it starts all over again.
I'm pretty sure Ash's pikachu keeps dying and his mom replaces it when he isn't looking (it would explain why he pickachu changed from a she to a he....)

@rein: When has Pikachu ever fought a legendary Pokémon? And more importantly... when did anyone ever call Pikachu a she? Always been a he in my books.

As for the gender thing, Ash changes from saying she to he all the time in the original series. So i suppose it's better to say "Ash had no idea what gender it was" then it was female.

@rein: Oh, I don't really class those Pokémon as proper legendary Pokémon. Especially in the anime, since there are lots of them and regular trainers have them. Things like Articuno are pretty much on par with things like Charizard in the anime.
