Ash's father?

Since i was a kid, I've always wondered who ash's father was. A few years back, i remember hearing that his father was actually giovanni, the leader of team rocket. Does anyone have any conformation on this?

@rein: His mom mentions him in like the second episode ("oh really ash? it took your father much longer to get there") and another time how Ash always rushes of like his dad that`s about it.

@rein: there's still that theory, there's a even an article on the pokemon wiki, although....... Giovanni is really another character father in the manga interestingly the "rival" character

Ash's father never made it out of the Viridian Forest. He just died there.

Ash's mother like many other low income class woman was impregnated in high school had to drop out the man left never to be heard again(why do you think she brings up how fast he is and good at rushing away?) She then had to become a prostitute to support her son sad fate of many woman in low income areas like Pallet Town. Your generosity and donations are greatly appreciated
