Example:
What if Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr got back together to reform the Beatles?
They would give up because they could never recapture their glory days without John Lennon and George Harrison.

What if Bruce Lee had never died?
If the aliens are less advanced than us, we would exploit them till they become extinct. If they are more advanced than us, the government will try to conceal our presence and hide the fact that we found the aliens in the first in order to protect our economy or mental stability of the human race.
What would the Dark Knight Rises be like if Heath Ledger hadn't died?
Well, if they worked like they actually do in the comic books, we'd still be in a lot of trouble. If they were just real people with super powers, then unless one of them decided to turn evil, we'd be fine.
What if Michael Jackson came back from the dead? Like not alive again, but a zombie, like in Thriller.
