Lasting until Tuesday, Marvel will be giving away 700 comic books for free on comixology as part of their Marvel First event. Right now the servers are experiencing with problems due the sheer volume of people rushing in to claim their comic books. However, it has lessen significantly since last night; so there's still a chance to grab your comic book.

I haven't even read a comic book yet. I've been debating where to start: Marvel or DC and what hero should I start with. Though, folks at Comic Vine had told me to start on this hero or heroine. Some told me just pick one since it doesn't matter.

@takashichea: I don't read alot of comics, but I would go with DC. They recently rebooted their timeline a couple months ago so you won't need to learn decades of history.
