The first series is childish but it gets pretty interesting at times, and it has some lovable characters. I prefer Shippuden though.

the only reservations i have with it are that it tries to force emotion on you, with constant flashbacks, other than that it has great character and story

I can understand why people would enjoy the first series, but why keep watching something so forced out?

I love Naruto..I like the fighting styles,ther variety of characters,the silly catch phrase,the jutsu hand signals.The storyline is a little stale though..but the actions is tops.The show is well animated as well.
