There have surely been many opportunities for hardcore fans to figuratively (and, sometimes, literally) eat, drink and sleep GUNDAM, but this might be the first occasion where the practice has been enabled in such an involved official capacity. ANN’s relayed some news about two GUNDAM-themed rooms that’ll be available for stay at the Grand Pacific La Daiba in Odaiba, Tokyo.
There will be the Room-G Special Type and the Room-G Standard type, each situated by the hotel’s famous life-sized GUNDAM statue (but, unfortunately, without clear views of the behemoth.) The rooms are only available for single-night bookings, and stays will be priced from $158 to $330 a night depending on the room and the number of guests.
Indeed, the economics of such an offer are on full display here, for since there are only two G-Suites being offered, the hotel’s only allowing one-night-stays to presumably allow enough fine folks (like yourself?) the chance to feel like they’re sleeping in a mecha suit world.
