The collective works of Dowman Sayman (or Douman Seiman since the internet can never seem to agree how to spell his name). Specifically Voynich Hotel and Nickelodeon, though all his works are pretty weird and great. I love the fact that the whole plot behind his work Oddman 11 is basically one giant Scott Pilgrim reference, which is fully acknowledged by the characters. I wish that they would get licensed, but they're probably too weird (I.E. a whole chapter devoted to a depressed transsexual kid wondering if he is either a reincarnation of a Columbine victim or of one of the Columbine killers themselves).

Does this really count when it's consistently high-ranking in Japanese sales? I think I read that at the moment all 10 volumes are in the top 30.

Anyway, I'm reading Kongou Banchou and the moment and I never really see it get discussed/mentioned anywhere.

I read like 30 chapters of Voynich in one setting and I have no idea what the fuck any of it was. Kinda interesting...maybe?

I will agree with Jackals and GANTZ, and I would like to add Vagabond. It's beyond beautiful!
