The popular magazine Comp Ace, a monthly manga anthology offshoot of the popular magazine Comptiq (and home to Lucky Star), is adding five new manga to its roster in May, and all of them are adaptations of other media:

  • Stellar☆Theater, a comic adaptation of an eroge, drawn by Waki.
  • Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai (roughly The World Reflecting a Girl Admiring the Sky), a comic adaptation of Kyoto Animation's Munto, drawn by MAKOTO2.
  • Hoshi Uta (Star Song), a comic adaptation of a bishoujo dating sim, drawn by Fumio (who did design work for the original game, as well as a couple of the Pia Carrot games).
  • Musou Tourou (Vision of a Lantern), based on a fantasy adventure PSP game of the same name, drawn by Ikusa∞ (that ∞ is not a typo).
  • KIDDY GiRL – AND pure, based, of course, on the new Kiddy Grade anime, drawn by Yukari Higa.

That's a lot of adaptations...doesn't it seem a little strange that not ONE of these titles is a new, fresh franchise? Hmm. But the three that don't already have anime versions are certainly candidates for them, by the way, so keep an eye out!

Sora wo Miageru Shoujo no Hitomi ni Utsuru Sekai is actually the full title of the Munto TV series.

Jeleinen: Well, that's embarassing.
