There is a kind of Manga adaptation of Westerfeld's Uglies novel, on that note the Risen Empire would be great in anime

Seeing how nice the world of Record of Lodoss War painted an setting already similar to it, I would love to see some of Tolkien works turned into anime, maybe not lord of the rings itself, but some stories of silmarilion should work fine.
