no. it is creepy to have crushes on anime characters.....hoooowwweeeever. if i ever met a girl that was anything like ukyo kuonji from ranma 1/2 .i would be in love....so, yeah, i guess it isn't that creepy after all. ; )
@Jemenez: I lolled at the spoiler tags. @OP: When I was a kid I'd have crushes on just about every 'bad boy' character - Hiei (Yu Yu Hakusho), Sesshoumaru (Inuyasha), Irvine (Zoids), and so on. I'm glad I've grown out of that, but at the same time, I sort of miss that thrill of watching the adventures of a character about whom I'm totally nuts.
Ryoko Hakubi from Tenchi Muyo. She was great. She was tough, strong, and had no problem showing her 'feminine' side. In fact, she flaunted it (to Tenchi at least). She's also got more heart than anyone else. Though she hates Ayeka (not really), she'll still go out of her way to protect the snobbish princess. She loved Tenchi enough that she actually went to Yosho (his grandfather and her former enemy) for his blessing! Gotta love that.
You can love the softy girls, or the bad girls, or whichever. But anime and manga is good for the soul. It's just all really good fun and far more diverse and entertaining than Western comics (USA and UK). I do generally prefer the more badass girls. Like Masane Amaha from the Witchblade anime. Not only was she amazing as the Witchblade and great looking, but she did everything for the sake of her daughter. She was just full of love, in fact her love was so strong and pure she was able to send the Witchblade to heaven instead of letting it choose another host. That's quite a feat.
I don't know if you would call it a crush, but I have a big admiration for Terra from Final Fantasy VI. She's a strong character despite all the things she's been through. (kidnapped, enslaved, forced to kill). She still ends up strong and becomes a mother to a bunch of abandoned children after Kefka cripples the world. I'm not sure if you would consider her an anime character, but she is pretty awesome in my book.
