Now that 2011 is a part of history, I decided to do my top and bottom picks for the anime series I have seen during that year. Note that they where not necessary released in that year, but I saw them during that time period. I decided to make two categories, adult and non adult, since it is impossible for me to compare one with the other. By adult, I mean it contains some nudity, sexual content, foul language or other content that may be deemed unsuitable for those under 18 years of age. Non adult would be suitable for all ages, and has no objectionable content. Along with my picks is a brief explanation of why they where chosen. Also, I only included series that have already been released, and I have seen, in there entirety. If you wish to add to this, please use the following format, give the category (adult or non adult), the title of the series, if it was the best or worst, along with a brief explanation as to why. I have done reviews for all my picks (below) if you want more detailed information about them.

Adult
The Best:
Demon King Daimao - Original, funny and action packed is the best description I can give for this series. There wasn't anything about it I didn't like. If anything it was too short. Categorically well done from every perspective.
The Worst:
Heaven's Lost Property - This series combined many of what I call stupidity plot elements like chibi, perversion, toilet humor, lolicon, harem, etc. into a single lump, along with bad dialog, unfunny repetitive jokes, almost no action, and a bad story, I can't think of one thing they did in this series that was right or entertaining.
Non Adult
The Best:
Angle Beats - My only complaint about this series was there wasn't enough use of the girl's rock band, which seamed to be forgotten about at some points, and there could had been a bit more action. The story was very original and well presented. Sometimes funny, other times sad, this series as a whole is a great example of anime at it's finest.
The Worst:
The Familiar of Zero - Romance among children like the kind in this story could only appeal to a pedophile, if they where willing to sit through a series with a single running unfunny repetitive joke as it's only source of real comity, little in the way of a story, crappy dialog, and very skimpy on action.

These are my picks for 2011, what are yours?

I'm debating which is best of 2011: Beelzebub, Sket Dance, and Guilty Crown. I would go with Guilty Crown for its humorous, episodic story telling (for now). Beelzebub has more action than Sket Dance, but it had more censorship with the guns and blood. The fight scenes would have been better.

For Guilty Crown, I haven't watch much, but so far, I think I like Sket Dance better since I like the characters more in Sket Dance. Sket Dance is about a trio of students who have this club called Sket Dan that helps other students with their problems. They stand for Support, Kindness, Encouragement, and Troubleshoot.

As for the worst, I would say Manyuu Hikenchou. I'm not a fan of ecchi stuff.

The best anime I have seen in 2011 is House of Five Leaves. It was undeniably gorgeous. The art style just blew me away. I also liked the story even though it was a little slow paced. I usually don't go for slower stories, but everything seemed to fit together so well that I didn't mind it. They just made it seem so...easy. I will have to give season two of Darker Than Black honorable mention though. I thought it was so much better than the first season.

The worst anime I've seen this year is probably Tiger & Bunny. It was just...terrible. I'm not sure why it was so popular and I'm not sure I want to know why.
