If you are one of the many multi-pass users of Whiskey Media you might have seen the a similar forum topic like this in Comic Vine, also made by me (Which you can see here). In attempt to make it easier for any user inquiries, this is topic functions as sort of a guide to get to know the website's Moderators.
Moderator. "A moderator is a person who moderates"... and after stating that obvious piece of information let me explain to you what the purpose of this thread is.
"Until a user accumulates enough points (1000) to gain the ability to make live edits to the site, that user's submissions will go through a moderation queue that is monitored by the Anime Vice staff, as well as a team of volunteer moderators from the community."
Of course that is not all we do on the site. We edit posts that need editing, we ban those that need banning, we help those in need of direction and we talk anime and manga with anime/manga-fanatics (You all do that last one too, but I just thought it was worth mentioning it). There is a lot that a moderator does, which is why it takes a handful of us to complete that task.
A small complication that surfaces a lot is the fact that most of you don't know which Mod to approach with your concerns. Each Mod has an area of expertise and sometimes your questions might be directed to the incorrect Mod. We are all scattered around the world, which means that sometimes we are not around when you need us because we don't share the same time zone.
So, following the precedent in Comic Vine, we now have a solution for this. Although you do have the option to PM all Mods at the same time, we thought that this would be a more "amusing" solution. This thread will now be your guide to everything you need to know about Anime Vice's Moderators (time zone, taste in anime and manga, moderating activities, etc.)
