It's a test to see if your character is a Mary Sue/Gary Stu or in another words, an unoriginal piece of generic dough that will be never made into a cookie.
It's incredibly useful for making a new character or just seeing if your character's actually good or not. Although some things might not apply, it is a VERY useful tool.
Besides being good for RPs, it's also INCREDIBLY fun to use for other Anime characters whether you wanna make fun of them or just see what they'd get.
