Which guys/girls actually deserve the harem that  Surrounds them?

@Kelleth: only in the anime, in the VN he is totally a good guy, school day picked the worst ending available

What about the originator of anime harems, Tenchi Masaki? Despite the nagging from Ryoko and Ayeka competing for his affections, he accepts them more as extended family members than potential love interests in the OAVs which the five girls at the household come to accept.

I thought he chose ryoko in the ova, but i haven't seen tenchi muyo in a long time.

@rein: Ryoko was chosen in the Tenchi Universe continuity of Tenchi Muyo. For the OAVs, he just retains the status quo by treating all the girls living in his household equally as an extended family.
 
@cfatalis: I thought this topic had to do more with how well the guy treats the girls in his harem than whom he chooses. Tenchi's at the very least not a Makoto Itou.

@Dream: i don't say tenchi is not in, i say he kinda suck for inventing the tenchi solution, before him, protagonist have to decide
