Goku was inspired by Journey to the West and Jackie Chan's Drunken Master. Akira Toriyama even stated that if it weren't for Drunken Master there would be no Goku. Supes is basically mixing heracles and helios together and putting a pair of spandex on him. Both their origin stories rips off Moses and his whole baby in a basket floating down the river thing. Just instead of a basket it's a spaceship. Long story short we don't really have original ideas anymore we just slap a pair of spandex or a gi on it and just go from there. To close with Goku one can't help but mention another important piece of Goku's origin and it is a big one. That is of course: 101 Dalmations.
